PP foot arch pain?

Ok weird question, has anyone had any postpartum foot pain? Since about 6 days post emergency c-section my one foot arch hurts so bad I'm limping around. It's been about a week and my foot is still hurting. My guess was lack of proper diet from my 3 days of not being about to eat solid food in hospital quarantine; Mr.MM thought maybe I strained it when I was writhing in pain. Anyone? Just me???

  • I don't have this but my coworker did. If you freeze a water bottle and roll it on the ground with your foot back and forth it's supposed to help a lot
OMG yes that sounds like it would really feel better right now!!

  • It's probably plantar fasciitis. Try doing stretches (pointing toes, ankle circles, and filling it over the water bottles) before getting out of bed or when you've been sitting for long periods of time. Basically all the small muscles of your feet are inflamed. Should go away over time :)

Thanks! Definitely going to try those tips!

  • I've got that. It's pronation. Basically our arches have fallen from the relaxin hormones. Fun.. I thought I had cracked something in my foot. I've been doing the ice water bottle thing and my massage therapist massages it (hurts a lot - but feels better after) and I have been getting my husband to massage it too.. It sucks

THANK YOU! So nice to have an explanation of why the hell my foot hurts so bad lol. I've never heard of that before but it makes sense!

What you're describing is over pronation and it comes from the weight gained during pregnancy which in turn throws off your center of gravity and changes the way you stand and walk. If you truly have over pronation/flat feet you will need orthotics to correct it. Relaxin generally subsides quickly in the body post pregnancy. Just some info.
