Updates: Had my bloodwork and ultrasound this morning and I just got the call-green light for FET on 12/12! They said my estrogen was 590 and lining was 13.6 which is great (I try not to pay attention to numbers but rather the "great" that they describe it as. lol) I start progesterone tomorrow. Question for anyone at Shady grove-do they tell you the grades of your embryos? They always tell me beautiful but I've never heard any letters/numbers (although maybe I don't want to know. Something else to thing into lol)

Plans for the 2ww: I took off work for 2 days instead of one, and it's right before the weekend. I'm taking it easy and letting those babies burrow!! I'd like to read a good book instead of spend too much time researching the web. I'd love any suggestions. I like funny books that are realistic-not so much a Harry Potter kinda gal.

Continuing on the Menopur and Gonal F at 300 iu each. Starting daily Cetrotide tomorrow mornings

ER estimate 12/11 - 12/13, ET 3 - 5 days post ER

Updates: I'm on CD6 and my lining is almost a 5 (up from a 2.5 on CD3), which is great for me. I'm on tons and tons of estrogen (oral, vaginal and topical) as well as viagra to help blood flow so it seems to be working. Next appt is Monday to check again! FET is still 12/18.

QOTD: I plan to make myself busy so I don't over-analyze (like I did for the first FET). Hopefully Christmas will keep me busy and hanging out with family. Only taking off the day of transfer (My RE does not require any bed rest). A few books come to mind that I've recently read and liked: Gone Girl (Gillian Flynn), Divergent series (Veronica Roth), The Night Circus (Erin Morgenstern).

Hey ladies! I had ET on Wednesday so I am in the 2ww! I am 2dp5dt. We transferred 2 embies...a boy and a girl! The RE picked the 2 best looking ones so we are hoping for the best!! My beta is scheduled for the morning of the 13th. Friday the 13th!! Eek! Haha luckily I am not superstitious! I'm getting more and more nervous! As for now, I'm planning on beta or bust! POAS is waaaay too stressful for me!!

QOTD: I've been reading "Flying Changes" by Annemarie Zimmer. Same author of "Water for Elephants." I'm really enjoying it but that's also because I grew up riding and competing in horse shows and that's what it's about. I think we are planning on decorating our Christmas tree tonight or this weekend and I hope to get all Christmas shopping done/wrapped/shipped this weekend. Tomorrow I'm hoping to go to our Saturday morning market which is awesome! Tons of fresh produce, shops set up, live music, desserts and small restaurants set up so it's always nice to go for a walk through it and maybe get something to eat. I'm trying my best to fill my schedule and keep my mind off of ivf!

My ER was this morning! We got 14 eggs which I am very happy about. Recovery was rough. I was very pale and feeling nauseous, so I got my blood drawn two extra times to check my hemoglobin. Then I got a shot to bring up my heart rate. A few minutes later, I had sudden and intense pain on my left ovary. The doctor did an u/s and said I was ok, and then got a shot in the hip for pain meds. We made it home (had a puke bag just incase, didn't need it) and I am feeling better. Just sore and crampy.

QOTW: I'm going to distract myself as much as possible with holiday activities. I'm hosting a gingerbread house party, gotta tackle all of my shopping, wrapping, decorating, etc.

Last blood work and ultrasound on Monday and start progesterone shots on Tuesday. Very nervous about the shots!

QOTW: My 2ww is the week before and through Christmas so I will definitely be occupied. However I'll be at home too (I'm a teacher) so I will need to look for lots of holiday distraction. I really recommend The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Five Stars!

RunCC37 14 is great! Congrats. Sorry to hear about the really rough ER...glad you're feeling better. Wow.

Status: Still amazed at how much less thinking I'm doing about IF during FET vs. IVF. It just seems so easy, breezy. Almost to the point that I'm nervous I'm forgetting something! I started acupuncture this week through a local place that specializes in IF. They do a swedish protocol using electroacupuncture and say it's one that's been researched to improve chances. Interesting, and a bit different than the non-IF-specialized acupuncturist I saw during 2 previous cycles.

QOTW: I'll have 3 days off work right after ET, and a fair amount of time off for the holidays soon after. No real plans yet, except to spend lots of time on my couch. I have lots of reading on my list, but really want to get to two: "Switch: How to Change When Change is Hard" and "Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet."

Status update: In my 2WW, beta on 12/10. Been having lots of interesting symptoms, which I'm hoping all means something!

QOTW: We've been getting ready for the holidays, decorating the house, and shopping. I listened to the doctor's and only walked for 4 days after the FET, and just doing some exercise-I figure skate so that helps keep my mind occupied. Nothing to crazy where I can hurt myself, but it's a good outlet for me to focus on something else.

Good books--I found a new series on Amazon books for my Kindle that was a fun read. "It's a Waverly Life" by Maria Murnane.

Today is day one of our FET cycle. We get our official transfer date on Monday... still looks like it will fall within days of Christmas (possibly even on Christmas day). Fingers crossed & praying hard that all goes well.

QOTW: We've been talking about going on vacation, so I'm hoping to do the planning/researching for that during my 2WW. Also gives us something fun to look forward to!

Update: went in for monitoring today, D5 of stims, 11 measurable follies ranging from 9-13 and a few on each side still 8 and under. lining is 11, and E2 is 871. RE has lowered my follistim from 225 to 175 and starting ganirelix tonight, going back on sunday for another check. ive definitely been feeling my ovaries the last couple of days, already stocked up on the salty foods and gatorade!

QOTW: DH agreed to book a hotel for the day of ET (we live with his parents) so im happy to be able to get a full day of uninterrupted rest and bumming around. after that i really dont know yet. im hoping DH will plan some fun date nights to keep our minds off of the 2WW, might get together with some friends or do some shopping. im feeling ok this cycle, so i dont think i'll be as anxious as i used to be.

Update: I had my ER yesterday. Stats: 46R, 42M, 37F. Since my numbers were so crazy, I was put on freeze all. While I was disappointed, I know it's the right call. Due to lab closure, I will be waiting until late Jan/early Feb. Good luck to all of you! QOTW: I love everything by David Sedaris. I highly recommend DressYour Family in Corduroy and Denim for a laugh out loud easy read.

Hello all, Yesterday was my 3 day transfer of my 2 embies!! So I'm officially in 2ww. My beta dates are 12/16 & 12/18. The Progesterone shots are worse then I could have imagined. All I can do is pray before and after them and remember its all for a great cause.

QOTW: I'm looking for a good book and asked My mom what she was reading and to my surprise she says 50 shades of Grey lol I could only laugh and pass on her choice. In the meantime I started making a blanket and have been couponing like crazy

I'm off work for 5 more days so I'm just going to relax.

@intheplanningstage, first of all, let me tell you that you girls ROCK at keeping our file updated!! I just noticed that I've already been moved to the 2ww. How cool!! Can you add that Beta will be scheduled for 12/20?

I just posted an update with my day one fert report... I'm trying to adjust my attitude about it. I ugly cried when I found out that I have five fertilized eggs... one fewer than IVF#1. I am in shock and just hope and pray that they are kicking ass in their petri dishes right now and that they are stronger than the last batch. I will find out on Monday if we are doing a 3dt or 5dt.

@RunCC37 - oh gosh, your ER sounds terrible. I guess I shouldn't complain. I had 12 removed on Friday and have been mega sore but that's awful! Also, don't worry - five is great... My last ivf I stimmed for 18 days and only got 4 eggs, 3 fertilized and 3 transferred...and it worked. You only need 1!! fingers crossed! So out of 12 retrieved, 10 were mature and 7 were fertilized using ICSI. I am getting 3 transferred on Monday.. I am so nervous. I want this to work like it's nobody's business. We haven't told anyone in our family. QOTW: I plan to pass the time by taking a preg test every day until my blood tests

Still prepping for FET. Next monitoring appt is 13th. Then we will have a transfer date. Getting excited is an understatement. We will be super busy organizing and packing since we will be moving next month! Need to squeeze some time in to celebrate my son's 12 th birthday. Life is good, just want a LO to round out our busy, crazy family!

Hey! Can I join you ladies?

I was in the September and October groups and had 2 failed IVFs- info in siggy. We had 2 frozen embryos from IVF #2 and are doing a FET. I am on CD 10 and will have my transfer on CD 20 or 21. I am on Estrace and will start PIO 5 days before transfer. So scared of PIO but my RE thinks it is better than vaginal suppositories for FET. We took a month off and I had lots of tests and not much turned up. I am on Cabergoline for Prolactin but besides that everything else is normal. I wish we had more answers but giving this one last shot before we see a new RE and figure something else out.

Looking forward to following your stories and I hope we get lots of BFPs this month.

HI there, good luck to all of your ladies, no matter where you fall in your cycle. It's awesome to see how many of us there are. Here's to many BFPs!

Um I've just started my TWW so I'm PUPO. ET was on Friday. Of the 16 retrieved, 14 fertilized, 11 are quality blastocysts, the other 3 were still growing but lagging just a tad. I'm still stunned. I did not expect this for my age, especially given what the docs and nurses told us.

In any case, we transferred 2 of the 11 blasts. I seriously can't believe we are through all the shots and retrieval and now the transfer. It just all seems surreal. The nurse called me "the smiley one" because I was so happy to be there.

As for books to read… David Sedaris is definitely easy to read and hard to put down. I loved all of his. I haven't done a lot of reading, actually, I got our Christmas cards done today from bed. That was my goal! I'm picking up my Kindle tomorrow.

I got the all clear for my FET on Dec 11. My RE increased my estrogen last week to increase my lining and on Friday it was an 8 (he wanted to see 7 so I'm happy w that). We had to make the decision whether to transfer 1 or 2 embryos and our original plan was if the first didn't work we'd go with 2 and that's what we stuck with. I am a little scared to have twins honestly but obviously I'll be so happy if we do have them. As far as the 2 week wait, mine starts Wednesday. We drove from New York to MD yesterday to get our new goldendoodle puppy and we're in love. He's 9 week sold and his name is Chesney. I know he'll keep me busy and occupied during that time. I'm also currently reading Fahrenheit 451. Not a light hearted read but I'm teaching it to my 10th grade class.

Hi everyone. Seems like we're all becoming busy. I am still waiting for AF, I'm thinking she will show up next Sunday.. Then monitoring starts. Glad to have no news once again.

I am so thankful for the book suggestions! I just read or tried to 2 books by Kate Morton- the first one 'The Secret Keeper' wasn't bad but there is an IF piece to it for about 2 chapters. Then I tried 'The Forgotten Garden' and after 3 chapters I realized reading about someone who kidnapped someone else's child because she had a miscarriage was probably a really friggin bad idea (especially since I had an early miscarriage in late Sept and I was reading books to get my mind off of it). So I'm going to try some of your suggestions. Luckily there will be no school or work during the 2WW. Every year I say I'm going to hang pictures up in the house.. I really think I may do it this time. At the very least I'll update the flash drive plugged into the digital frame.

Hello all! My FET is Thursday! Sooooooooo nervous! My DH says, "Just don't even worry about it/think about it." Are you kidding me?!!? I was infuriated! I think it's his way of not getting his hopes up. MEN! Anyway........

QOTW: For the first week I will be busy with holiday concerts (I'm a music teacher) I'm glad to have something to keep me occupied, just worried about my stress level. For the 2nd week, that begins Christmas break for me so I have lots of things to get done for the holidays, wrapping gifts, scrapbooks to finish, but still gonna take it easy as much as I can with the chores. Just do a little at a time. It's a hard time to be thinking about taking it easy right before the holidays though!! I will enjoy scrapbooking though and having days off!

Update: I had my baseline monitoring on Friday and have started oral estrace. I feel pretty good and I'm hoping that doesn't change as we ramp up to three pills a day.

QOTW: I am hoping, if my doctor says it's ok, to paint some tables for a client during the 2ww. DH has to work on New Year's too so it is a good excuse to stay home.

Still waiting to hear about when my ER is - looks like Fri or Sat at this point. My follicles are still growing - largest 2 are 17mm. Hope to find out something more definitive at my appointment tomorrow.

wellllll did my lupron trigger last night at 10pm

!!! went in this morning to blood work to test the trigger and everything is going smoothly!!! i had a monitoring on monday, E2 was 2798, and today its around 2900ish (forgot exact number) but i was just happy that its not as high as the last 2 IVFs (6k and 12k+) RE also had me start cabergoline last night and doxycycline today

ER is tomorrow morning at 7:45am, i willl be taking 1500iu of HCG before i leave to go to the ER

DH booked a hotel close to the surgi center for today and tomorrow so thats its easier for us to drive back and forth and so i can relax

so far i've blasted the radio dancing (well more like pointing fingers in the air and bopping my head since my ovaries are bouncing enough as it is in there) and gave myself a mini makeover playing with some makeup and catching up on my shows and watching movies. i have the nightstand stocked with chips and muffins and cookies and washing it down with gallons of gatorade and water lol

I finally heard that my follicles are ready - I have 13 measurable follicles (6 between 18 and 20).

I am triggering tonight and my ER is scheduled for 11:30 on Friday morning. ET will be Sun, Mon or Weds depending on how the embryos grow....

Very happy to be at this stage since I am so uncomfortable but also nervous for Friday....

Sorry my update is so late! I triggered Sunday night and had my retrieval Tuesday 12/11. They got 13 eggs. I was kind of expecting more since I had so many follicles. My estrogen was 3900 when I triggered so I'm at risk for OHSS. RE has me taking cabergoline to help prevent it. Of the 13 eggs 8 were mature and 7 fertilized with ICSI. I am hoping for 7 rock stars! Tomorrow we will find out if we are doing a 3 day or 5 day transfer. I am hoping for a 5 day transfer on 12/15.

I have no idea what I am going to do to occupy my time during the TWW. I guess I'll think about that after transfer. The last book I read was Allegiant, the last book in the Divergent series. If you like Hunger Games, you'll probably like that series.

You can put in BFFN category...I was having major bad hot flashes all day yesterday and last night. AF came at 2am stupid bitch. I had a bad feeling yesterday. Surprisingly I haven't cried just ready for this stupid period to come and go already and move fwd. I don't feel as sad as I do in disbelief...the RE just always told me everything looks good, "this will make a baby" and here I am. So I called my nurse to fill them in and told them I didn't need a call back and I'd keep taking my meds and will be there tomorrow for my beta just for "shits and giggles." I literally left that on their voicemail. I wouldn't normally be like that but haha it just came out.

Oh well. I feel bad for DH mostly and I'm pissed we've thrown away all this mulla for nothing. We discussed last night that we will step away from IVF for awhile and try naturally since we never have and were doing IVF for genetic reasons....or at least that's what we thought we were doing? I'm frustrated with the whole thing and of course can't help but question if I did something wrong. Guess I'll be drinking at DH Christmas party sat....if I decide to go...right now I feel like barfing my face off..I think these cramps, hot flashes and whatever hormone changes are making me feel sicky and extremely thirsty. I'll be sticking around and cheering everyone on...here's to banging it out in the bedroom lol
