Dh's grandma passed away

Just got home from the hospital. She was in ICU with an infection in her leg. We saw her at a rehab place on thanksgiving, and got to talk with her for a bit. Then, things took a turn and she ended up in the hospital this past week. Dh went and saw her everyday this week. Got the call this morning to hurry to the hospital.... Sat with her and family for about 5 hours. She was heavily medicated, and we knew the time would come at some point. It was difficult to be in there when she took her last breath, but I know she would have wanted us to be there.

It's really sad because our lo was going to be the first great grandchild for her. All week she kept asking when she could see the baby. We were hoping she would hold out for him, but I know she is looking down on us now, and she will be there when he's born.
