Disney lovers where would you eat?

I am trying to decide where to book our character meal for this trip. Has anyone eaten at any of these?  Options:
Dinner in Epcot @ Akershus Princess Storybook Dinning or
Dinner @ Fort Wilderness (Outdoor Pavilion) - Mickey's Backyard BBQ (Mickey, Minnie & Goofy in cowboy outfits)
Other possibilities The Cape May Inn (Minnie, Donald & Goofy in beach outfits) for a late breakfast or
The Tusker house (Donald, Daisy, Mickey & Minnie in Safari outfits) for breakfast

  • The tusker house if you are planning on going to animal kingdom that day. If you do I recommend safari ride and the dig.

I like Cape may but found it a little more formal - if the is the right word - then other restaurants. But is still is a character breakfast directed at kids.

I haven't heard of the storybook one but there is much for lo at Epcot.

  • @wanderingstars23 yes, I checked for availability and those are the options I came up with that had seats. I have heard good things about the Tusker house and would like to try to get there but the day we are going to Animal Kingdom some of my family will be meeting us in Disney and there will be 8 of us. I dont know if I will be able to get everyone to go. Maybe we will make a special trip there just the 3 of us one other day.

  • Could you meet the others after breakfast? If they didn't want to go to breakfast.

  • We did Akurshus so the girls could dine with the princesses. I liked it.

Also, try to get in at the Coral Reef if your on a dining plan. The food, was so good. The dessert was even better :)

We did Tusker House last year, but for lunch not breakfast although I have heard good things about their breakfast.  At that age, DD liked the plush dress up characters more than princesses.

ETA: Last year there was no Minnie, it was Goofy.  I don't know if they've changed it since then.

We actually had our favorite family photo from the trip taken there

  • I ended up booking the Tusker House for breakfast Sunday morning with everyone. I also booked Mickey's Backyard BBQ for the 3 of us for the night before we leave, it seemed like a fun end of vacation party..plus beer and wine was included with that  ;)

  • @mbm1983 Still here! It is a long trip but needed to see and do everything. We had 5 full park days, 1 Mickey's very merry Christmas party night and today we are going to see resort Christmas lights and then to Mickey's backyard bbq for dinner. It has been amazing, definitely the Disney trip of a lifetime! My husband is already planning a return in January 2015!

My tip for the Florida disney travelers is to buy all your disney stuff at the character warehouse at the outlet stores. It is run by Disney and they have stuff so cheap compared to the stores in the park. I got a pair of jeans with mickey embroidered on the pockets for $10, Mickey scarf for $6, disney Coloring books for $2, disney scrapbook for $6. Now I have to find space in my luggage lol.

  • Forgot to answer about Emma! She has been fantastic in the parks. When we are in the kids areas let her run around and explore as much as I can. She has been doing excellent with taking naps in her stroller and pretty much staying on her schedule. She loves the parades but not when the characters are close to her. She warmed up to the princesses yesterday and grabbed sleeping beauty's boob lol. She is memorized by fireworks. I love watching her get excited for everything.

  • Chef Mickey's is our favorite.  We've been to Disney a ton of times and - YAY, trip in Feb, too!  Anyway, that's our family favorite.  And Crystal Palace :]  I like Tusker House, but the atmosphere isn't as fun, I don't think.

  • @mbm1983 parking for free is great we paid $15/day x6 days at the parks :(
