Early intro

Hi everyone. Unfortunately my water spontaneously gross-ruptured yesterday morning and long story short, I'm in l&d trying to endure mag drip while being given steroids.
I just hit 30 weeks. Drs are giving me hope to make it another 24 hours if at all possible. Baby looks great on monitor and ultrasound.Fri morning I'd dialated to 2 when i was admitted but they haven't checked because I have no more fluid. He is feet down.
Had older kids that were born around 35 week marks, but this early is scary to me.

Ts and Ps that you can make it long enough to get the second steroid shot. One of our neighbors in the NICU had her son at 30 weeks and didn't have time for any steroid shots and he was just on CPAP a little longer than my DD who did get two steroid shots and was born at 31 weeks 3 days. It's scary but there are plenty of mamas of babies born earlier than 30 weeks on this board and they can do very well. I wish you all the best and hope you'll hold off as long as possible!

Good luck! Hope you get those extra steroids, they really make a big difference. Like PP said, lots of us had LOs before 30 weeks - my DS was 27 weeks and spent 66 days in the NICU. He'll be 3 in March and has no lasting complications and is meeting all his milestones!

FX your LO stay put for the steroids and does well in the NICU!

Good luck, hope you can keep baby put for awhile!

My daughter was born at 30w and didn't get the steroids and I wish she had. Mag is the devil, hang in there!

I had PPROM at 24 weeks and held out until 27 weeks! My little guy was born on Oct 19 and we are still in the NICU. He is doing great and I hope he comes home soon. I hope they can stall labor a little longer but if that's not the case, wishing you a safe delivery and a healthy LO! Good luck and keep us updated.
