I just found out on Friday (13 DPO) and I'm going tomorrow to do B/W to confirm it per the Dr. on Monday morning. DH wants to tell everyone on Christmas. I think it's too soon and wanted to wait a few weeks. Just curious how long you guys waited.

Re: How long did you wait to tell?
I told my Mom and Dad right away because my Mom asks EVERY month if I'm pg and I knew that I wouldn't be able to lie to her. We are telling everyone else at Christmas and I will be 11 weeks. If I were you I would tell my parents but wouldn't tell anyone else yet.
We told our parents and sibs the day we got our BFP, and we've been slowly telling close friends since then. I just figured, I would obviously want my mom to know if something bad happened, and we've only told the friends we would want to talk to if something bad happened. We're waiting until after we hear the heartbeat (hopefully Jan. 6th!) to tell everyone else.
Congrats and I wish you a H&H nine months!!
Thanks everyone, I'm not wanting to wait 12 weeks but just a few short days after our BFP seems so quick to me. DH is so damn excited though. I'm thinking we'll share with our parents, siblings and my grandmother, on Christmas, if we do anything.
Before I got PG I wanted to wait until 12 wks.
I got my BFP at 4 wks and we can only make it to 8 before telling. Actually I already told two friends this week. I'm bad at keeping secrets.?
I'm still waiting =(
But I have had 3 m/c's this year, and my confidence is not that great yet, even though everything with this pregnancy has been going ok.
I also found out on Friday, congratulations to you!!
I told my MIL right away (I live with her, so she would know anyway), and I told a few bestest friends last night (again, as soon as I reject a beverage, they would have known, and I see them almost every weekend), and I am telling my parents/siblings on Christmas morning.
Our philosophy is that this is our first time, and if anything went wrong, we would have t tell them for support, so we feel it's okay for us to tell them.

Congrats to you. Isn't it a great feeling to know that your pregnant? I love it so far.I am about 6 weeks pregnant.
We were planning on waiting to tell family at Christmas but we told my husband's family first becuase we couldn't wait. I will tell my family when we travel to see them this week for Christmas. I also told my sis and best friend. I think we will wait to tell others after our first ultrasound on Jan 5. I have gone to the doctor to get the pregnancy confirmed and have a meeting with the nurse about pregnancy. What a great journey!
We plan on telling the family at our Christmas Eve get together. We are 8 weeks along. It has been so hard keeping this secret. I bought a book for my daughter about being a big sister and wrapped it. I'm going to have her open it in front of the family. I thought it would be a fun way for her to participate in sharing our big news.
