Hello Ladies
I am looking for some advice. I was wondering any thoughts on choosing on OB or a Midwife. The hospitals around be are very accepting to midwives so that is not a worry. I am just looking for some help I am on the border with the topic. Any suggestions?

I think the main thing you want is someone you are comfortable with. I just hate the notion that OBs are somehow insensitive and midwives are all caring or that only OBs can handle "real" medical emergencies and midwives can't, etc.
I never considered a midwife because my OB knows me and had known me for years prior to getting pregnant, he knows my history, never makes me feel rushed, answers all my questions, is open to my ideas and I trust him to do first and foremost what is best for me and the baby and secondary to that, what he knows I want. That he's an OB isn't the important part though, it's the rest that is.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
