Hi,
I was wondering if any of you can help me out here. My hubby and I just had our little one a week ago, second time around parents here. It's been wonderful and we are really happy. As with any normal newborn we have been lacking proper sleep at night. My hubby has been stubbornly not taking any breaks and although I've been loving his help around the house and taking care of our 5yr old (driving her to school) etc etc ...I don't know how to tell him to slow down! He has been drinking energy drinks excessively and last night I think was just so scary, I cried. Last night while he went to the bathroom, I heard a crash and the bathroom door violently open. My 6ft hubby was on the floor, he was sweating and cold to the touch. He was conscious but disoriented. It seemed as if he passed out for a second. After a few minutes of talking to him and him slowly answering my questions and drinking water, he was able to get up and seemed fine. This has never happened before and was sooo scary, I felt the need to ask the bump community for perspective. Def calling the doc, but has anyone (moms or dads) experienced dizzy/fainting spells from lack of sleep?
Re: 1 week old- lack of sleep- hubby's fainting spell
Best of luck and hope he is doing better!!
