Stupid, stubborn hairs! Ughhh

Before I got pregnant i had a slight issue with hair growth in not so common places like my chin (i'm overweight so it was obvious why).  But ever since i got pregnant the growth has been ridiculous!  I have to resort to shaving my chin every single day so I don't look like a man.  I've tried facial hair removal lotions and creams and they don't work, they just burn my skin.

This is getting out of hand and I'm so over it.  Does anybody have a way to prevent the growth or a favorite product they use to remove stubborn hairs?

Please helpppp!

  • I'm right there with you. I shave every day. You could always get it waxed or pluck if there aren't that many, but my hairs are super thick and fricken curl or something every one I pull out bleeds. I have super sensitive skin and everything I've tried has either burned my skin and left me blisters or just broken me out. I even tried laser hair removal which did help for a while, but as soon as I got pregnant they're back in force. Hope you find something. If you do please share!!

  • There are too many to pluck and if I try, they bleed and leave scabs.
  • I don't really know how bad it is but if it's becoming an everyday sorta thing I would start waxing or plucking. At least then it gets to the root and the results will last a little longer. Waxing and plucking over the long term can result is killing the hair root and it won't grow anymore. Other than that I don't think there's much you can do.

  • I have to let it grow for at least 2 days before i can wax and i'd have to do it professionally because the waxes i've bought from the store suck.  I hate this.
  • I'm the same way. I only have a few dark ones or thick ones so I can pluck those but just my face peach fuzz seems super long and grows super fast. I use the Sally Hansen lotion remover without issue for about 7 min.
  • I've used the Sally Hansen but the hairs are so thick that it doesn't make a dent.
  • You can ask your doctor for Vaniqa, but you may want to wait till after delivery.
  • I have nothing to add here, only that I find it immensely amusing that the ad I'm seeing on the right sidebar for this post is for the no!no! hair removal tool.

  • I thread. It's quick. Hair stays away for a couple of weeks or so.

  • I may try threading. I'll never try the NoNo, it's a waste of money.
  • +1 for professional waxing. I've had good luck with it; as pp said, after a while the hair just doesn't grow back.

  • I wax. The hair grows back a little finer and not quite as dense. I get it done professionally at a salon/spa.

  • Electrolysis is supposed to be the only thing that truly works.  Obviously not while you're pregnant, but it may be something to look into after baby comes.
  • I wish I could afford that, I'm gonna have to buy a Groupon during tax time, haha.
