C-sections

C panty

Anyone use these after their c section? I had expressed concern about my underwear rubbing against my incision since it's still healing 2 weeks post section and these were recommended to me. Anyway, they have a silicone area over the incision site and are supposed to offer support and promote healing. They look interesting but pricey so I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. Thanks!

Re: C panty

  • Bought these at 6wks pp and feeling like the belly band kept cutting into my incision and feeling over the big bulky bands when I tried to dress up. I am SO happy I bought this and wish I would have sooner. I don't wear it everyday, only when I need my stomach to look flat in jeans or under a dress. It helps to tighten everything up and is so comfortable. I also bought the belly band and hip shrink thing by the same company. I can tell you I prefer this belly band in terms of support and comfort over the belly bandit. Although the belly bandit gives a better "smooth" look under shirts. The shrink hips thingy would be wonderful if it didn't cut into my incision. I can't wear it while sitting so it only works when LO is sleeping and I can put it on while doing chores ... Which means 10-15 here or there so I'm sure I won't see those results.

I have seen the most change in my waist size since wearing the c panty and belly binder.

  • I wore my own underwear but I put a tiny pantyliner on the top of the undies so that it would protect the top of the undies rubbing into my incision. It helped a ton.
  • The hospital gave me some panties to wear. I wore those for about 3 weeks.
