Would you go on this big slide while pregnant?

So for two nights only, this big slide is in our park near my house, surrounded by snow. I think it looks incredibly fun and I want to go down it tonight. I don't really see how it could hurt anything (sliding, slight bouncing?), but I don't know that I've seen "big slides in pregnancy" addressed as a concern anywhere.

Thoughts?

It's not the slide it's me that's the problem... It's also the adrenaline rush... I could be wrong but I don't think your heart rate should go up too high... Same reason roller coasters (even the small ones) aren't recommended. I'm sorry sweety... I just don't think it's a good idea... There's a chance you could get hurt.

Haha, I love that you aren't asking "should I", but "would you". I'm a bit of a daredevil. And being in the first semester, I would do it myself because boy it looks fun. I don't see how it could really be any more dangerous than tons of things we all do. But that's just me. If you feel iffy about it, you will probably be upset with yourself afterwards...

I wouldn't do a water slide pregnant, and I feel like this is similar, so I probably wouldn't do it. I alsowouldnt sled down a big hill but may do a small/not too steep hill with my son.

Her heart rate isn't going to go up THAT high and will only do so for a few seconds to a minute or two max. Do you also advise people not to exercise? That raises your heart rate higher, and for longer, than a silly slide will.

I'm probably going to do water slides in a tube while I'm not showing when I'm on vacation soon, so I'd say go for it. OB told me that I could still ride the motorcycle, and pretty much do whatever I want. Also my cousin rode roller coasters until she was 5 months pregnant lol

I feel like I have plenty of padding to cushion the baby. I'm definitely not showing enough for anyone to tell, really, especially with a coat.

I wouldn't but I'm on pelvic rest, clumsy, etc so I think there is too much risk. Do what you are comfortable with.

I'm too afraid to take the chance, but I really don't think it's gonna hurt. I always think of the people who didn't know they were pregnant for months and continued about their regular business. (I know a lady who didn't know she was pregnant until 4 months along) about a week before I got my BFP, I rode rides at an amusement park, that was so early on though.

That looks awesome! I love the festive decorations. I've never seen a slide like that set up in the winter before.

I don't see why it would be a problem to go down it! I think walking up the snowy steps would be worse than sliding down.

I totally would! At this point your baby is probably it's most protected. The bigger it gets the less padding it has as it grows to fill the uterus. Right now it's still totally surrounded by your other organs and lots of liquid. Bumps wouldn't worry me. As far as the adrenaline rush, it's a one time, short term thing. It's not like it'll be up all night and you'll be having fun. I say go for it!

I think your fine!! The picture makes the slide look worse than it is. It's not even that steep and it looks higher than it is. If you want to then go for it. I've been on this type of slide tons of times and they never go too fast. This might go a little faster because of it being so cold
