GD Moms when were you diagnosed with your second pregnancies

I was diagnosed with GD at 28 weeks with my first pregnancy. I am currently 5 weeks and my doctor is having me do the one hour test at 10 weeks. While I am hoping to avoid a diagnosis, I know that I am at a higher risk since I had it with my first pregnancy and I am so nervous that I will end up being diagnosed earlier this time. If you had GD with your first pregnancy, were you diagnosed earlier with subsequent pregnancies? Thanks!

    I'm interested to see the replies!  I tested positive at 28 weeks with #1 and negative at 24 weeks with #2.  I'm wondering if I'm in the clear?  I always assumed that I would have GD with every subsequent pregnancy so I was shocked to have passed the first test!

    I was diagnosed at 28 weeks the first time and 8 weeks the second. My doctor was shocked because I had a normal a1c one week before. I think it varies for everyone!

    I had risk factors, so both times I was diagnosed at 14 weeks.

     My Pregnancy/Parenting BLOG TTC since 5/2011, BFP #1 12/3/11, M/C 12/7/11 @ 4wks 2d. Began seeing RE Sep 2012. October 2012 Metformin 1500 mg= ovulation on CD34 BFP#2 11/14/12 9DPO, EDD 7/26/13, DX Gestational Diabetes @14 wks, our angel born sleeping 3/24/13 @ 22wks 2d. BFP #3 7/4/13 8DPO EDD 3/22/14, DX Gestational Diabetes @14 wks. started insulin @16 wks.  Our rainbow, born 3/19/14 @ 39wks 6d., we're so in love!

    28wks the first time, 16wks the second. Though my 2nd pregnancy they did an assumed diagnosis (I didn't do the 3hr) based on a slightly elevated 1hr draw and I went straight to diet control.

    For my first 2 pregnancies I tested negative and this third time around I was diagnosed around 15 weeks and am now on insulin. My OB thinks I had it the first time around as well since I had very large babies.

    I was diagnosed with this being my first at 10 weeks. My dr said it was too early and that apparently I didn't know I was diabetic before I got pregnant. Of which doesn't make sense to me. I've been testing my sugars for a week and they are totally in the normal range. Anyone else experience this?

    I'm diabetic anyway so I never did the GD test. I was just told to start testing 4x day. I did start taking insulin a lot earlier the 2nd time and it took a much higher dose of insulin (long + short acting) to get it under control. Doctor says its normal for GD to be worse with subsequent pregnancies
