Recommend your LO bath wash

DS is 17 months old.  I'm looking to switch his bath wash, since we've been using plain old Johnsons and Johnsons head to toe bath wash almost this entire time.  It's finally almost gone.  He tends to get a little bit of eczeema in the winter months. I tried Aveeno's eczeema wash last winter and wasn't very impressed.  TIA!

  • we use aquaphor's shampoo/body wash. It's fragrance free and super gentle on sensitive skin.

  • We use Burt's Bees baby wash.  DS had eczema last winter.  His pedi gave us samples of Cetaphil body wash and lotion.  It's not cheap, and I had a hard time getting the body wash, so we just bought the lotion and it made a huge difference with his eczema.  I like using the lotion instead of the bath wash for it anyways since it's not getting rinsed off so I feel like it's more effective.
  • We just switched to the Target brand of Cetaphil soap.  It really seems to be working well.  The only thing that I don't like is that it doesn't lather.  And I highly recommend the Target brand Cetaphil body cream - it comes in a tub.  It is amazing.  Non-greasy, non-scented for sensitive skin.

  • Another Mustela for me.
  • We rotate between Aquafor body wash, Burts Bees and Suave (the green apple scent).  None of them seem to bother his eczema but if we notice a flare up, we make a point to stick with the Aquafor for awhile and use Neosporin Eczema lotion.
  • Sounds like I'm in the minority here, but he's always shared my Dove body wash. Sometimes I use Ivory but he's never had a reaction to either.

I love cetaphil for me. I was wondering what others were using for their kiddos too. We are also running out of j & j and a little worried about dry skin.

  • I did a ton of research when my lo was getting some eczema spots on his belly, scalp and legs and found that BabyGanics Bye Bye Dry Moisturizing Cream Wash worked the best hands down! Plus it's all natural. I will use nothing else ;)
  • California Baby Sensitive.... LOVE THIS.
  • BabyGanics here too. Body wash and moisturizer.

  • We use little twig.  It's natural and I our son also has skin issues so I only use J&J for the occasional bubble bath.

It's expensive (I think it was $15-20 range) but I've only had to buy one bottle so far in his 15 months.
  • We rotate between Exederm baby cleansing bath wash and Shea Moisture Chamomile and Argan Oil baby wash. Exederm is a bit more gentle, so we mainly use it when his skin is irritated. Both are great products.

  • Another vote for Dove sensitive body wash. We share it and DS has been using it since he's a couple of months old.
  • Mustela! DS had pretty rough eczema early on. This was the only soap that was soap free, alcohol free, perfume free, etc. We LOVE it! In fact, my nephew who lives in upstate New York had to start using it. He had severe eczema and this was the only thing that would help keep it in check!
