Christmas pics bust

I took dd to jcpenny today to get her Christmas pics done. She looked super cute in her outfit. I put her down on the floor in the studio and she freaked out, screaming and crying and she kept crawling to me. We tried a few times to distract her with things and it just didn't work so we just left. I will admit I was super mad at her, she is never clingy or cries like that, but what can u do she's a baby. I told her she needs to get it together because she is getting one year pics whether she likes it or not lol. (Hopefully) so I sit here a sad mommy with no Christmas pics of my baby's 1st real Christmas, I say that because she was born on Christmas. I think I'll try to do them myself.

    Awww, poor baby!  Maybe taking them yourself would be better, sometimes you can get better shots that way!  She is so photogenic that I can't imagine her taking a bad picture!

    Yea I agree with pp that you should take your own pics. There are plenty of pinterest tutorials and ideas. I find at this age that its really difficult to get dd to smile or sit still for a picture, 6 months was much easier!

    Boo that she was not in the mood for photos. :(  I'm sure you'll get some lovely ones by yourself though- 'tis the season for loads of Christmas photo ideas all over facebook! ;)

    Can you try again tomorrow or next weekend? She may just be having a bad day. Is there maybe a prop you could try if she cries so she will be distracted by something new? Also, it definitely can't hurt to try to take some yourself.

    Oh man! The little stinker.
    We are doing Christmas photos of the kids this afternoon and her 1 year ones too. I really hope she cooperates.

    This is exactly why I'm doing my own Xmas and bday photos. My mom and sister will come help take pics and get the babies to smile, and I'm sure we'll get something cute. I just know my kids and how they do in new environments with strangers....I figure it would be meltdown city and a waste of money. Maybe when they're older.

    My little one was also born on Christmas Day ;) Maybe you can try again another day or take them yourself...She'll most likely do better next time. I'm a photographer so I did the Christmas portraits of my family this year.
