Happy Friday everyone! How was your week? Did it feel long, after the long weekend last week?

Congrats to @saraevh on her baby boy, and welcome to @Mayzie15! GL to those TTCing, and congrats to @jeffscutewife on her BFP.

T&Ps to those who need them, and get well wishes to those & their LOs who are sick.

Happy weekend. This weekend, I have NO plans!! I'm actually really excited for this. I want to get stuff done on the house, and just spend time with hubby and Hannah!

QOTW: I have already been part of two cookie exchanges lol. I've been invited to a third one, but not a lot of people are signing up so I don't know if it'll end up going through.
I frequently bake cookies for friends and family, I use them to "round" our their gifts. I usually bake: peppermint cookies, gingerbread cookies, jam jams, candy cane no bake cookies (similar to a macaroon) and sometimes shortbread (found a good recipe this year!)

Happy Friday!
Welcome baby Noah! And congrats @jeffscutewife.

Tomorrow is DH's office Christmas party on the Napa wine train. I'd probably be a little more excited if I could drink wine and I felt less nauseated. If its fun I'm going back after baby!! Sunday we'll prob. Try to get in some Christmas shopping but for some reason I have no ideas this year.

QOTW: I've always wanted to host a cookie exchange but it has never panned out. I actually haven't been to one before either. I love to bake. My favorite cookie is the holiday treasure cookie. I don't have the recepie since I'm at work but I can post it later if anyone is interested. It has graham crackers, condensed milk, chocolate chips, candy bits like mini m&m's, Coconut, butter and flour. It's a hodge podge but sooo tasty.

My weekend is sort of up in the air.

Tonight I am meeting an old co-worker for a happy hour.

Tomorrow we have a Christmas party - but we haven't done much to find a sitter, so I"m not sure we will make it. I can take it or leave it, maybe I"ll send DH and stay home with Molly!

Sunday we have a wake.

QOTW - Never participated in a cookie exchange, not a huge Christmas cookier person in general. My mom, sister and I did used to take a day off to bake all different kinds, but that fell apart last year when my mom got pneumonia - and I don't beleive it's back on this year.

Happy Weekend ladies!

We might be going to Disneyland tonight, but it's been super chilly at night so not sure if that will happen. The only plans we really have is the San Diego Safari Park on Sunday. We bought vouchers for it and they expire soon. It should be fun now that G knows his animals and their sounds, and is running around everywhere.

QOTW: I've never done a cookie exchange before, but it sounds fun. My Mom's gingerbread cookies are my favorite though.

We are getting pictures with Santa this afternoon!

MH has a big day tomorrow for a potential new job, so any extra good vibes for him would be appreciated!!!

We are going to get our tree Sunday and there should be snow in the ground!

QOTD: I make cookies for us and I send some to work for DH and his co workers. I love plain ole chocolate chip cookies! I make one batch for us and one to share

@JBDamonM, how did your T'giving turn out? I hope it was better than you expected?

We don't have major plans, which is good. M has been cranky this week, and is on solid food strike. I'm hoping it's because his molars are coming out but I can't tell. He won't let me stick my finger in, and I can't get him open his mouth wide to see (unless he's wailing).

We just came home from a play date at M's BFF. I'm hoping to go to this consignment shop tomorrow to get some winter clothes for M. Sunday late afternoon I'm driving M's BFF & his parents to the airport. They'll be away for 3 weeks for X'mas holiday, so I offered to drive them so they don't have to spend $$$ on parking for 3 wks at the airport.

And some point this week, would also like to hit Old Navy and Stride Rite so I can get M some shoes and whatever clothes he needs (if I don't find any at the consignment shop). I can't go shopping with M during the week because he starts to fuss as soon as we get to the mall, so I need DH around to entertain M while I browse the racks.

ETA: Forgot QOTW!

QOTW: I am not a good baker (esp when compared to MIL & SIL), so I never bothered baking over the holidays. However, this year the moms group I've been going with M is hosting a cookie exchange. So I think I'll go and bake some lime-cornmeal cookies. I also made a peppermint-bark cookies last winter, as a food gift to one of DH's colleagues (she gave us a TON of baby clothes). I like those a lot so I'll make them again.

@pb_bride - it was OK. Not as bad as I thought but not nearly as nice as having it at our house. And man - is my moms sister in law tough. Wow. Let's just say I hope she's not a repeat guest at the Thanksgiving table.

Nothing planned this weekend. May go to a pampered chef/31/premiere jewelry party tomorrow just to get out of the house for a bit. Otherwise well just hang and watch football.

QOTW: I always do a cookie exchange with my aunts and girl cousins. The aunt that always hosts and organizes has even battling lung cancer and has been back and forth between home and Atlanta where she's getting treatments. Sounds like she'll be home for awhile and maybe will be able to do something, but our weekends are counting down! My favorite cookie is a peppermint chocolate I found on Pinterest last year!

I forgot they have PUDDING in them! Yummmm so good!! Also, the key is not to overbake...chewy and gooey...delicious!

We don't have any particular weekend plans. Hanukah ended on Wednesday evening and I am not going to Chicago to spend Christmas with my side of the family. For me the holidays are over. My goal is to keep focused and busy until my beta next Sunday and to not micro analyze real or imagined symptoms.

I haven't participated in a cookie exchange since I was a kid and baked with my grandmother. I would be happy to be a cookie tester for anyone looking for a recipe reviewer.

Today I got my hair cut and we closed on our old house (yay! Magically a different appraiser had a rational appraisal. Funny how that happens.)

Tomorrow we have our neighborhood winter festival with a petting zoo, camel rides, Santa pics, and all kinds of fun kiddie stuff. Then that night we are doing the Christmas train with my BFF, her husband, and their 7 mo.

Sunday hopefully we can finish up Christmas decorating.

QOTW: I've never done a cookie exchange and we don't really do cookies at Christmas, we usually do pies and candy. But a cookie exchange sounds fun!
