Is your LO eating veggies?

Because mine acts like I'm poisoning her. She started on sweet potatoes and loved them. She didn't want carrots, gobbled up bananas and devoured pears. Went back to sweet potatoes again and she's not having it. I don't dare try peas or green beans.

Ab seems to have lost interest in solids all together... I hear it takes a number of times for them to acquire tastes for some foods...

Try mixing with oatmeal or adding fruit. I trick him by doing 2 scoops of veggies, half scoop of fruit. Or I do half and half on the spoon.

My LO can't stand them! My older two pretty much loved everything....I'm afraid this will be my picky eater.

Yes she loves them all including fruit that she has tried, so far she has had avocado, squash, peas, sweet potatoes, and bananas.

Also, originally I was going to hold off on meat. But I gave him a Turkey, sweet potato, rice combo meal for Thanksgiving and he tore it up. So maybe add in some pizzazz to the veggies.

@oohgurl did you make the combo yourself or was it jarred? I've been pureeing veggies and fruits but not sure how meats will go. I have nothing against jarred foods I will prob give her both. I am home and figured why not but im iffy about making my own meat combo.

We just started solids this week. She HATED the oatmeal and butter nut squash. She actually balled up her fists and shuddered when we gave her oatmeal. It was pretty hilarious. We've tried the past three days with no success. This morning she clamped her mouth shut and turned her head the second she saw the spoon. We've also tried BLW and given her chunk of steamed squash. No dice there either...

A hates everything. I have tried a variety of veggies, fruits and cereal and she will not eat anything. My mother and sisters have tried to feed her and nothing worked. I have tried avocado and apple and nothing works. I assume when she is ready she will eat. I don't push her or try to force her because I want it to be a good experience. I just hope she decides to eat soon.

I will be trying chicken and potatoes over the weekend.

I've tried carrots and sweet peas. Ds didn't like carrots and when dh tried to feed him peas he acted as if he was being tortured. I asked my mom to try sweet potato and he loved it. I'm hoping to come back to carrots before we start any other green veggies. He loves apple and bannana.

Heck no, its jarred. I have failed at finding time to do anything since I went back to work.

Did he eat this cold, or did you heat it up? The jarred meat really grosses me out LOL. Not because I have a problem with jarred food- everything we buy is Gerber lol...working mom here too..but for some reason the pureed meat just looks nasty to me.

We heated it up. It is the Gerber one, 2nd stage. That was the reason I was going to hold off was the whole thought of it grossed me out. However, he loved it. I gave him the chicken and vegetable Gerber dinner tonight and he loved it.

We have been feeding him veggies for 2 months now so he I am sure he welcomed the change!

Pedi told us to try with veggies first so she will like them so today was our first day and we started with peas and she liked them. Next will probably be green beans.

She has had peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, avacodo and spaghetti squash. She only didn't care for the sweet potatoes. I give her veggies at lunch time.

Happy to see I'm not the only one with a baby that doesn't like solids yet. He hates and I mean hates oatmeal cereal. We've tried sweet potatoes for the past 3 days. He doesn't like it either. Stays tight lipped and is just down right not interested. Might try bananas next. Wish us luck. I have a feeling he's not gonna be thrilled about that either.

B loves sweet potatoes and carrots. I haven't given him green beans or peas yet. My older two HATED the green veggies, so I don't foresee this going well.

she normally likes a lot of things, but I can tell she doesn't really like potatoes or green beans, but she'll eat them anyway, and make a disgusting face the whole time doing it. lol
