Trouble TTC

Does music help you through?

Hello ladies,

I am in the dreaded 2WW and honestly one thing keeping me sane is music.  I find songs that express my feelings and just listen them on repeat.  Whether it is our wedding song - "Marry Me" by Train, a happy song or something that makes me want to cry - "Say Something" by A Great Big World.

P.S. Listening to Say Something made me ball.  I am not giving up but I know with each month our journey is getting harder.

Re: Does music help you through?

  • Huge music lover here.  I've learned that music can help dictate and change my moods.  Pandora is my best friend.  Sometimes you need a good cry and good music helps with the crying.
Married on October 20, 2012.  Began trying in January 2013.
RE appointment & testing December 2013 - February 2014= Unexplained IF, possible endometriosis

  • I have an app in my ipad called "serenity" it really helps me zen out, it has videos of thunder, or waterfalls, or leaves in the wind, all with calming instrumental music. But currently I'm stuck on the 'THIS IS 40' soundtrack. I've been listening to it all ovaaaa >:D<

  • I LOVE music. My husband is incredibly embarassed by me, but I call myself "DJ Wifey" in the car when we go places because I plug in my phone and play all of my favorite songs. I love all types of music from classical to current hits. I love to listen to music at work and at home, it all helps me relax and get in a better mood. Sometimes, I just need to have a song that is expressing what I feel, too, and so I will listen to a sad song and let it all out.

  • @angeltennis3 I love that you call yourself DJ Wifey lol. That's something I would say and I might steal that from you!
I listen to a lot of music as well to relax. When i'm in a really, really bad mood, I listen to heavy metal, bands like Pantera and Slayer. Pantera is really my go to band when i'm angry or depressed and it always makes me feel better. Maybe it's my way of getting out the aggression.
