Ftm need advice! Cramping w/o bleeding?

Severe cramping but no bleeding, should I be concerned? I had slight cramping when I was 5-6 weeks but it wasn't too bad, it is now though. I'm not sure if that's cause enough to go to the hospital or not

Re: Ftm need advice! Cramping w/o bleeding?

  • How severe is severe? Can't walk/talk through them? Does it help if you change positions? Is it localized to one side?

  • Could it be round ligament pain? With my first it was so bad I was positive I was miscarrying or dying. I was literally bent double in the waiting room at my doctors office and they checked me out and said it was RLP.

I was just going to say this.  I had this throughout my entire first trimester last time and have it a little bit now.  It was absolutely awful. if you take 1 tylenol and it gets better it is round ligament pain.

  • I have this too at times. If it comes and goes and gets better with a little Tylenol I wouldn't be concerned. If its consistent and nothing makes it better I would probably go get checked out to make sure it's not an ectopic. Sometimes mine are pretty strong but I just lay down and drink alot of water and they fade.
  • I had severe pain that had me doubled over. It was a combination of RLP and constipation. Get you some MiraLax and wait for the magic to happen. I felt so much better and now the RLP pain is mild. I went to ER and it wasn't anything to worry about, just constipation...
  • Also, I had taken tylenol and it didn't help. Sometimes Tylenol can contribute to your constipation issues...
  • I'd say RLP or just your uterus growing. I hurt far more with my first then now with a second. It was hard to concentrate at times.

  • If it's truly severe than go to the hospital and at the very least put your mind at rest.
