Home Remedy for Sciatica???

I assume that's the pain I have been feeling for a month now. It's a pain in my left hip/butt cheek. It is worse if I have been lying down for some time or if I rotate my hip while lying down.

My a/s is Wednesday so I'll ask the doctor then, but any home remedies from you ladies?

Google stretches to help relieve sciatica, there are a bunch of good ones. You can also place a tennis ball where the pain is and use the wall for pressure and kind of rotate around the ball... Hope that makes sense!

stretches. lay on your back, knees up and feet on floor. Put on ankle on the other knee, grab leg with foot on floor behind the thigh and pull back. Repeat on the other side. Hold for a good 30 seconds.

You can also do a sitting version of this. Just sit on the edge of a chair putting the ankle on the knee and just lean forward. I do this at work a lot. I have a history of sciatic nerve pain from years of cycling a poor stretching. Yoga helps to, I love sitting in pigeon pose, that one really helps me. And by sitting, I mean I'm in the pose for about 10 minutes each side.
