Yeah toddlers are picky eaters, I think a time out would suffice.

When my kids get older they will have to make themselves something to eat (that I OK) if they won't eat what I make.

The husband thing was around page 10, she didn't say he spanked her but as his wife she needs to be submissive to him. Edit because I double checked its page 8 and she actually says that she doesn't have the right to say no to him, that her body is his and his is hers so that makes it ok
