What magazines do you subscribe to?

I want to get a magazine subscription but can't decide what to get. What do you like?

Re: What magazines do you subscribe to?

  • Women's Health and US Weekly.

I want to try Canadian Living now.
  • Loading the player...
  • Real Simple.  I always snag it and read when I find it at someones house, I should really get a subscription for myself.  My grandma sends me Ladies' Home Journal, which I tried to read a few times but it ends up going straight to the shelf.
    Love Real Simple!

I used to do Gourmet but alas, they no longer exist.

  • My sister subscribed to Bon Appetit but she's going to cancel it. She thinks the quality of the mag has gone down.

I dropped my Bon Appetit subscription when Gourmet became a Bon Appetit subscription because I was so pissed at them for stopping printing.

I recently got the December Bon Appetit and I hate it. They're so snobby and pretentious while having these stupid easy recipes. Gourmet was able to have snobby recipes without being snobby.

I get Entertainment Weekly, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Fit Pregnancy. DH gets Outside magazine, Sunset, and Dwell. I'm asking for Real Simple for Christmas because I always pay too much for it at airports while on work travel :)

  • @L12541, Real Simple is the best for flying. I rotate among that, Martha Stewart, which has not been good lately, and Rachael Ray for flying.

  • New Yorker, Vegetarian Times, Real Simple, and National Geographic. I am also one of those people who impulse buy magazines if it looks fun.

  • I think everyone knows that I am obsessed with Cooking Light.

For foodie mags, we also love Cooks Illustrated.
  • InStyle, I've started reading it when I was 16.
DH gets This Old House and I really like it! It was really helpful idea-wise when we were fixing up our home.

  • Right now, just Elle. In the past, I've had The Atlantic, The Economist, Sunset, InStyle, and Vogue. I used to get free magazine subscriptions with airline miles.
  • I get the All You magazine. It has good recipes, crafts, and coupons.
  • I don't read magazines. All the ads drive me bonkers.
DH gets Mustang Monthly and randomly buys other car magazines. He also likes Mother Earth News.
  • US Weekly. I should probably be embarrassed about that, but I'm not.

  • We get a lot right now but I didn't renew most of them.

We have Parents, Highlights Hello, US Weekly, People (but it ends at the end of this month), FamilyFun, This Old House, Better Homes and Gardens, and finally Travel + Leisure.

I think our mailman hates us.
