Leaky diapers

I have a two month old that still wears newborn diapers. She has been leaking out of her diapers this week almost every day even when I just changed her 30 minutes prior. Is it possible that I need to put her in size 1 or is this just normal? I'm getting frustrated with changing her clothes all the time!!!

Re: Leaky diapers

  • It does sound like she has outgrown them. The sizing on diapers can be kind of arbitrary...my kids have never made it to the "max" weight for a given size. They usually outgrew or leaked through them by the time they were within 2lbs of the high end of the range.

If it isn't a sizing issue, make sure that the inner leak guard flaps are in the right place and maybe consider a change in brand or line. For instance, I've found that Pampers Baby Dry line tends to run smaller than Swaddlers so I sometimes use Baby Dry diapers if we're in between sizes.
