December 2011 Moms

Pregnant/TTC mamas

I probably shouldn't be the one starting this as it will just worsen my baby fever, but here goes! How's everyone? I know there are lots of ladies who are really close to due dates. How is TTC going? Is there anyone who will be starting soon?

Re: Pregnant/TTC mamas

  • I haven't caught baby fever still :) We're still thinking of not trying till next year.

I was 36w as of yesterday. Tuesday was my 36w appt & she said I was just shy of 1 cm right now, so not doing much. That's ok by me since I am hoping this guy stays put til at least after Xmas! I think we ticked him off after that appt though since he really beat me up for a couple hours after that appt. Had some bad cramping too, but that all eased away.

We have DS's birthday party this weekend (real B-Day is the 10th). Doing a construction theme. I'll hopefuly have a couple pics to AW for you guys come Monday :)

Between preparing for baby, birthday, Xmas and maternity leave... Dec is proving to be a VERY busy month!

  • I'm 38w1d so getting close! My due date is DS's birthday (the 18th). I am super uncomfortable and ready for baby to come! We're Team Green so getting anxious to find out if DS will have a little brother or sister (he requests a sister)!

My ILs said they only day they could make DS's bday party work was the 15th (we were hoping for this weekend) so I'm just hoping he can get his birthday party in and I don't go into labor then!

    Can't believe it's been 2 years already!

  • After a totally uneventful pregnancy, I had a bit of a rough week. Spent 2+ hours on Wednesday hooked up to monitors for contractions and baby's heartbeat (set off the alarms twice), then 3+ hours at the hospital on Thursday.

Baby turned transverse sometime in the last month and if he doesn't turn back by the beginning of January, we need to start talking about scheduling a RCS (has been one of my biggest fears ever since DS1 was born).

Lots of emotional moments and tears shed this week, but getting so excited for my second little boy to arrive. The time is flying by so quickly!

  • I'm at 34 weeks today! Still team green despite many objections from DH. I just love the surprise factor, and since we already have piles of gender-neutral stuff so there really aren't many practical reasons why we should find out.

So far things have been going very smoothly. I have GD, but it's been much easier to control my blood sugar this time around so I don't have to be nearly as strict about diet as I did with DS. I'm feeling a lot of movement from LO, and also a lot of BH contractions if I overdo things so I'm trying to take it easy as much as I can. Easier said than done when I'm a SAHM of a very busy almost 2 year old.

I have an OB appointment today with the doctor who will (hopefully) be doing my delivery, so I'm excited about that. After that I have to deal with the plumber who will be installing our new sump pump. Ours quit yesterday so I had to deal with a basement full of water, which is not fun at all under any circumstances but especially bad at 34 weeks pregnant!

  • We are in ttc cycle # 6. I gave up charting this past cycle, due to a number of factors, thermometer stopped working and holidays, etc. So I have no idea where I really am, but I have been super nauseaus which is just pissing me off because I am sure I'm not pg, so it's just really annoying and messing with my head. I am also not sure about if we will need to take a break from ttc soon or not, because I am a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding in October of next year and just want to be sure that I can be there. So I think we need to not get ku in Feb or march. Think i have that timing right.

All the pregnancies and new babies are exciting!

@mtb so glad to hear E is doing well :)

@Ricola can't believe you are 25 weeks already- that was fast :) so happy for you!

@anotherdreamer sending you good thoughts for a great ultrasound and smooth transition to your Ob.

Good luck to @moosebaby @arnold94 and @bluecards @jen4033 @osasismomma this month- hard to believe we have so many repeat December mommas :)

TTC#1 May 2009- July 2010 on our own with no luck

Started with RE in August 2010, dx with unexplained IF and then finally our 3rd IUI cycle using Follistim and Trigger resulted in our wonderful little man.  Born 12/2/11

TTC#2 Never really prevented, but were careful early on as Dr. reccomended

Surprise BFP 12/16/13, started progesterone immediately as first numbers came back low, but betas were good.  Progesterone wasnt enough. Natural MC 12/24/13.

Back with RE as of January 2014...

    5/27/14- Chemical Pregnancy :(

    April 2015 IVF#1

    5/13/15- BFP, please stick LO!

Oh and I'm a major Harry Potter Nerd :)
