  • I've been feeling kicks up by my ribs too. Yesterday he decided to preform a Lord of the Dance routine just to show me how much he's growing lol

  • Above my belly button a bit, but he's breech right now and at my ultrasound the other day his feet were up by his head. I bet if he was head down the kicks would be higher.

  • When I'm sitting all day at work I usually feel her kicking up by my ribs. It seems like every time I fold my arms across my chest she ends up kicking me in the arm.

  • I'm actually worried (because I always worry... ) about how low she kicks - I've never felt anything higher than 2" or so below my belly button and I thought she'd be much higher than that by now.
  • Well my baby LOVES being breech. Ie felt her kick high ONCE a couple weeks ago and it was about 3 finger lengths above my belly button. All of her kicks/punches are really low or sometimes off to the side but still well below my belly button. My midwife says she has 7 weeks to flip. I know we have plenty of time but the fact that she's consistently stayed breech for the past 3 weeks or so worries me a tad.

  • I have been feeling kicks right under my boobs, I also frequently feel him stretching, and feel pressure down by my hip bone and can see a huge lump and feel kicks about 1 inch under my breast. I do know that he is measuring big already though.

  • my baby is really freaking low and she punches more than she kicks (not breech last we saw) so those that feel it down by their lady bits might have a puncher not a kicker ;)

highest i've felt was just above my belly button.

also: my husband broke his moms rib sometime around month 6-7 and she had to tough it out til he was born. :/ super sucky.

I also get punches really low. She likes to punch my butt...it's a weird feeling.

  • Pretty high, like right at the top of my belly.  It might be because this is my third so things are already stretched out, or the baby could be lower and I'm just feeling the kicks higher because they're so strong.

This is me too. I also had pressure on my ribs from really early on, it literally felt like they were expanding in width, which is probably what they were doing judging by how many times I've had to increase my bra band size already.

She has been kicking everywhere and anywhere... I can feel her just below my boobs when I am sitting down.. I went to the Dr today and my uterus is measuring at 28 weeks. That explains how she has all the extra room and the ability to kick that high. Luckily she hasn't kicked my ribs yet... not looking forward to that.

  • I still feel her pretty low the majority of the time, but I've had a few kicks or punches below my left rib. She is measuring small, which I can't fathom given my size, and that may explain why she still has room in my pelvis to move around. She loves squeezing into a ball right under my left rib though when I'm laying on my back.

@ceh789 From my personal experience, this is totally normal.  My baby was breech at my most recent u/s, so I'm feeling most of the movement very low, too.  Also, I can't remember if your placenta is anterior, but if so, that would also explain why you're feeling such low movement.  It doesn't mean she's not higher than that... just that you're not feeling movement up there yet.

  • When I'm sitting at my desk, I feel him kick really high up - just under the boobs. As of Tuesday, I am measuring right on track so he must be pretty stretched out.  I've also been feeling them all over too! Sometimes they are really low -  I can't really tell which are kicks and which are punches. He seems to be all over the place!

Posterior, and the OB said last time that she's head down! She could have flipped though, or perhaps she's a puncher. Glad to hear it's not totally abnormal - it's weird because when I look in the mirror I feel like all my belly gain is up high but I can feel her way down low, and when they do the doppler that's where they find her. Ah well, word is she's doing ok and that's what matters :)
  • My baby is head down so I feel his kicks all the way up by my ribs and his punches low by my hip. Im 27 weeks. :)
  • Mine is always about two inches below my belly button. I believe she was transverse last US. I def can feel kicks and punches though. Crazy girl.

Side note- I had been taking Benadryl since I've been sick but noticed she wasn't moving as much- I immediately stopped taking it when I made the correlation and will let my OB know.
  • I'm 27 weeks and get my ribs kick everyday
  • Baby has been kicking up my ribs for almost a month now! I think I posted a thread super similar to this around that time... I was really surprised how early baby was kicking so high!

  • I got my first rib kick this past week.  I feel her all over though (from low to high).  I feel like she's all over the place in there!

  • right at the belly button. probably 90% of the kicks i feel are in the same spot/general area, though- low on my right side. it's probably the way my anterior placenta is sitting...

  • I havent felt one kick above my belly button and she's one active little lady. I have to assume she's breach because all movement is well below my belly button....I'm talking right above my pubic bone, my bladder, and even my butt! At my 20 wk a/s she started out head down but by the end of my appt she had flipped and was breach.
