Hmmm, never heard of this but the WIC lady told me it's something I should be doing. Apparently I should take a wet cloth and wipe out her mouth once or twice day. Anybody doing this? I guess we'll start tonight, can't imagine she'll enjoy it....
I had never heard of this by my pedi recommended it at our 2 week appt - she said that we could just use a wet wash cloth at bath time, no soap or toothpaste product needed.
I do occasionally after he spits up, especially if I can see a little still in his mouth. I figured I'd hate to have that taste in my mouth so he probably doesn't like it either. The pedi never mentioned it though.

I'm big on doing this. DS1 had terrible teeth problems when he was younger because as a FTM I let him have the bottle in the crib until he was almost 3 years old. He had to have most of his teeth pulled and had fake teeth until his grown up teeth came in. With DD and now DS2 I learned my lesson. No bottle in the crib and wipe the gums after every feeding.
