Stupidest book ever... (Rusalka)

Well, probably not ever. But DD, really. This book is SO LAME. Why do you love it so much?!

"Kittens love just to be kittens." REALLY?! How about kittens love to break shit and pee all over. (I do read this to her every time she brings it to me, because I love her THAT MUCH.)

Anybody else's kiddo love to read some really terrible stuff?

I usually love the classic old story books, but "The Poky Little Puppy" makes me want to claw my eyes out. DS of course loves it.

Bahahaha! Love this thread! DH and I both kind of hate the set of Baby Einstein mini board books that we got at B's shower. DH especially hates the animal ones- "The bunny lives in the forest. The bird lives in the jungle." DH says- "Who the f**k writes these things? Birds don't only live in the jungle! And especially not cardinals- there's a f**king cardinal on this page! Shouldn't the cardinal be in the forest where they have the stupid ass bunny??" Cue my riotous laughter.

I guess you can only put so much info in a 5 page board book the size of a post it note!

We have a couple of touch and feel books that make me nuts when DS wants to read them.

Page 1: kitten. meow (and you feel the ball of yarn)

Page 2: puppy. woof woof (and you feel the soft fur)

Page 3: tiger cub. licking his lips. (OK, a) sexual, and b) when did we switch from sounds to sexual innuendos?)

Page 4: monkey. eee eee oooh oooh aah ahh (and you feel the soft fur). (OK good now we are back to sounds)

Page 5: zebra foal (foal, seriously? just say baby zebra). lots of stripes! (OK no sounds anymore)

Page 6: elephant. squirt squirt. (again with the innuendos!)

Then I can't remember all the others but at some point it's a rabbit and it's "scratch scratch." Does the rabbit have itchy balls? Is this the sound he makes? This book seriously pisses me off. Even now I'm getting all mad.

There's one called "a duck's surprise" or something stupid. A duck is talking about his home in the grass, the nest, and look! Eggs! The eggs are hatching! It's a baby...alligator.
