I never have questions!!

I had my regular appointment today and aside from immediate needs (like today I wanted to know what meds I could take for certain issues) ... I never really have questions.

Am I the minority here? Should I be asking more questions?

I have a boatload when it comes to labor and delivery stuff, but I feel like it's too early for that?

Re: I never have questions!!

  • I always feel weird for never having questions and this will be baby #6 but I still feel weird.

  • Never too early to be prepared! :)
To answer your question, I never have pregnancy related questions either for my dr.
  • I had a huge list of questions to ask today that are mostly related L&D but I didn't get a chance to ask. If you have questions even if they won't be relevant for a few months it would still be good to ask now!

    DS #2 - EDD 3/2014
  • Ask em now, I haven't had to ask questions unless it is something new, like not sleeping for 3 days and my back having spasms, I had to call today but at Dr appt my only question is if she ok :D

  • I don't ask questions but I talk about migraines, it's always the same convo. It's very wham, bam thank you m'am and I am out the door...I mean it might take two before they call me back on scale and the it's a quickie!

I never really do either... I forget at my appt then remember when I get home and ask you guys :)

@amandapthompson your avatar is always the same green crib one as mcsweet's so I always think you two are each other. It's CONFUSING.

I'm sorry :( I'm mobile and don't know how to change it! Every time I get out of a post and back in, it shows something different for me. A few others have changed their avatar on here and threw me completely off! Lol
  • I never have any either. My appts are <5 min.
Not including the 45 minute wait.

  • I usually don't have any questions either. I had a couple at my last appointment though that I made sure to ask. I tend to think of some randomly throughout the month, and then once I'm actually there at the doctor I forget them! I started to keep a notepad on my desk at home so I could jot them down and bring them with me each appointment. This time, I only maybe have one question...but it is one I might save for my next appointment anyway (regarding my vacation at the end of January...who goes on vacation across the country when they are almost 8 months pregnant? This girl does.)

I keep a running list of questions all month!  I know if I don't I'll forget when I get in there with the doc.  Since the appointments are so quick, sometimes it's hard to get them all in, and I'll have to make sure to just ask the ones I feel are most important.

    THIS!!!
Appointments are so quick and I have so many questions! Sometimes my questions are silly tho and doc rolls his eyes at me and I KNOW I've reached my quota and he's gonna walk out of the room!
  • I never have questions either! My doctor makes me feel so at ease that if there were something i should know i know he would tell me i totally trust him. Also i havent rly had any issues except for in the very begining..if i were having problems im sure id bring them up to him
  • I have only had one question so far but this is LO #3. My year ion made my midwife laugh. I had to ask her if a chicken bite would harm the baby or if it could make him sick lol. I have a chicken farm btw!
  • I rarely have questions. I may ask some things regarding things that have been discussed at my appointment like my BV infection what can I do to prevent it. But rarely any random pregnancy questions. Thanks for the reminder about the vacation we are traveling for Xmas and NY so I need to let them know. I am sure they will just tell me to drink a lot of water and get up to walk every hour like they did when I was pregnant with DS1.

  • So it seems like I'm actually part of the majority! lol

I may at my next appointment at least ask, "so when should I start asking about labor and delivery stuff?" to get the ball rolling
  • I keep a notepad around the house for all the random, silly things I think of in between appointments. Some of them I answer on my own, but then I have at least something to ask my Dr. I want her to feel like she's doing something!
  • Nope, I never have questions either.  I've learned a lot from lurking around here so I don't feel like I need to ask anything that hasn't been discussed here.

  • i never have questions either.  I'm looking at it as a good thing that everything is going normally.  And that I have read enough that I'm not really that worried.
