Stuffy and Runny Nose 7 months

So my little one has a stuffy and runny nose. I have tried the basics...saline drops, nasal aspirator, steamy hot shower, warm bath, cool humidifier, boogie wipes with saline drops and even tylenol for the common cold. Is this just something that you 'deal' with until it blows over since there is only so much you can do? She is having a very difficult time falling asleep at night and seems happy during the day, but she is having a hard time drinking her formula. Any other home remedy suggestions?

Thanks!

  • Yep, there's not much else you can do. You can try elevating one side of her crib mattress so she sleeps on an angle, but if your LO is anything like mine there is zero chance she will stay in that position all night.

  • aw haha yes I do that too and she doesnt stay like that and keeps waking up haha. Oh well life of being mommy. :)
  • Yes, you just deal with it. I have Tylenol every 4-6 hrs. It took a few days to get better
  • Mine had that 2 weeks ago. When she woke up too stuffy to sleep, I'd stick her in the wrap and sleep in the rocking chair with her on me. Also, I put 2 towels under one end of her crib mattress so her head would be elevated. That seemed to help a little.
  • Thank you so much everyone! She is feeling much better now. I ended up taking to her to the doc and got antibiotics and neubilizer treatments. Houston is always hot and then "cold" so I am sure we will be going back and forth this winter with the weather.
