Advice wanted

I have a family member who was just diagnosed with PPD.  I'm not super close with her but was just wondering if anyone here could tell me if there's anything I could do to help her or if I should even reach out to her.  I have kids of my own and didn't fall into parenthood gracefully but never had PPD (lots of baby blues though!).  I don't want to bother her though.  I feel so bad for her :(

  • Dealing with PPD is so much harder when you don't get any rest. Maybe offer to come over and watch baby so she can nap. Or just ask to visit and bring a meal that she can just heat up for dinner instead of having to cook. That would at least lighten her load.
