Dr appt and colds?

Alright, ds has an appt today and I'm not sure if he should go.

He has had a cold for about a week now, runny nose, cough, congestion. No fever. He had a stomach bug last Wednesday night, it lasted 24 hours. He is due for vaccines.

Should I take him in anyway? Wait on the vaccines until the cold is gone? I have read too many conflicting things.

My doctor says if there's no fever then it's fine to vaccinate. Normally they do less then the normal amount if it's a big appointment and only on my request. DS hasn't had a problem.

If he doesn't have a fever, I would. For me, it's tough to find a stretch of time when DS isn't sick this time of year that the dr. has open.

I would take him since he doesn't have a fever. You could call your pedi and make sure they'll still give him his vaccines.

I would still go. The only time our Dr won't do vaccines is with a fever.

I think this it the time of year where our toddlers are going to have a runny nose more than not. I would still go. I think our ped's guideline is it is fine as long as they do not have a fever.
