There gave been many posts about gifts but what is LO playing with right now, as we speak? I feel like she needs some toys she will actually play with lol.
This morning bottles of ice tea and a dust pan. Stacking cups in the shower this morning. He doesn't need a shower but will stock dh until he gets in the shower and then scream and pound on the door until he is allowed in - I just let him in with me.
His all time favorite toy is the toilet - he can flip the lid and get his hand in there faster then a ninja. I of course discourge this.
Christmas tree ornaments are his favorite right now. But as far as toys go a little people house, farm, and minivan are big hits. The old school little tykes garden is big. And a ride on/push car gets a lot of mileage. And balls, lots of balls. He also carries around this squishy rubber dinosaur that ds1 found in a parking lot.
Hey I just met you, and you're my baby. This is your family, we're kind of crazy...
He drums sometimes, but mostly shakes everything, takes it out, puts it back in and tries to put the lid on.
Activity garden is great, but is less interested in sorting the shapes and more interesting in throwing them for the dog to destroy and standing on the telephone.
And he love these. Good for fine motor he can take them apart and put them together and also attach them to the radiator: https://www.tegu.com/ Maybe I'll get him a bigger set for Christmas.
Wesley loves playing with his push rocket, it plays music and talks to him, He gets on and starts screaming for his dada to push him, so that is our routine everynight while I make dinner, he also loves my serving spoons and the fisher price dog that sings or talks when you push on it
He's at daycare now, but his favorite toys are his wooden blocks, Mega blocks (big Legos), and some packing air-filled pouches that came with a wreath I ordered from Zulily. He's also a big fan of our stainless steel mixing bowl and a wooden spoon.
It is pretty small but works great for our small space. The CL seller also gave us 2 sets of wooden plates/bowls/utensils. DS loves playing with it.
Another cheap toy DS absolutely loves, is an empty used canister, filled with icecream sticks, and we cut a small slit on the flip top. DS loves putting the sticks through the slit into the container. When he's done, he brings the canister to us and we empty it out. Rinse and repeat. DS easily entertains himself with this for 10-15 minutes.
Books are a big hit, esp if he's in the mood. Some days we can read for 30 minutes +.
Finally, we have the FP Laugh and Learn house, which DS plays with every day for 30+ minutes. And we've had this for 6 months now, so it's not like it is a new toy.

Wesley also loves when he gets a hold of the toilet paper roll. This will provide at least half an hour of entertainment for him. On really desperate days when I need a short break I pull out a roll of toilet paper and give it to him. I have a 4 pack that I purchased from the dollar store that he tears up. I try to catch him if he is grabbing them out of the bathroom, but sometimes I am not quick enough.
That dog is creepy. Once late at night I quietly went into my daughters room to turn on the baby monitor. Then all of a sudden the dog lights up and says peek a boo I see you.
@LauraT25 Yes the dog is a little creepy but he loves it, the stupid dog is always talking to me even after we turn the sucker off, as soon as the batteries wear out I'm not replacing them.
My kids favorite game right now is pull all the books off the shelf. He will take them down one by one and hand them to us to read and as soon as we get one or two pages in he gets up and grabs another one.
My kid loves magnets for the fridge like those Melissa and Doug wooden animal magnets. Also loves her play kitchen and her tea set. And she really like to push around a tractor toy and go "vroom" while doing so.
Right now DD's 2 favorite toys are her tube of toothpaste, the toilet paper roll and DD1's detangler hair brush. She actually also really likes the parmesan cheese shaker that came with one of DD1's pizza sets. I just got her a musical set with maracas because she seemed to like shaking things and the sound it made so much.

And yes, I own the first three Twilight movies. Judge me if you must but the are good for brainless background noise on occasion.
