Adoption Agencies

Hi everyone. So dh and I are still in the process of looking up agencies and I came across this one: Hudson Valley Adoption Agency. I was wondering if anyone's had any experience with them? They've been around since 2010 so the Internet's kinda sparse on info and was hoping maybe someone went to a meeting or something with them? There fees seem reasonable but I worry I may be mistaken. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    I just adopted in NYS, through another agency--- the listing of their fees doesn't include things like birthparent expenses etc. Also, for perspective their fees for placement/matching are nearly 13,000.00 lower then the ones my agency had--- I don't know if that means anything, but at my agency, when all is said and done, depending on where you are in the sliding scale of fees, you are looking at a cost of at least 25K and most are several thousand higher--- just a point of reference.

    Ok- so I'm just off the phone with a friend who had interviewed the agency. She reports that the agency director noted that they don't have  a lot of referrals- so not many babies. They mainly do family adoptions- step parents etc etc etc. So just a good thing to know...

    @maryoosa - thanks for the info! This seems to make sense with what I've found out so far. They have about 5 waiting families on their website, which seemed kinda low to me. If you don't mind my asking, what agency did you end up using? Did you have a good experience with them?
