Stupid question, re: due dates

Because I'm a crazy person, I like to see what my EDD would be on CD 1, and then I check it again after I O. So CD 1 was Nov. 20th. If I plug that into the due date calculator on baby center, I get an EDD of 8/27. So I am fairly certain I O'd yesterday, CD 14, 12/3. If I plug that into the calculator, it says 8/26 as a due date. But if due date calculators assume you O on day 14, shouldn't the dates be the same?

Before you get in a tizzy, I realize one day means nothing. I don't really even care that much since a. I'm probably not pg and b. I'll most likely be induced or have a c/s 3-4 weeks before my due date anyway because of my medical situation. But I just don't get why the dates are different. Is baby center wrong? What am I missing? I promise I know it is not a big deal. I just think it is weird.

That's so strange! I do the same thing, but since I have somewhat wonky cycles, I check the EDD on the day I see my temp shift. Lol

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who was confused by that. I think you are right @Joy2611 thank you so much!! I guess they assume your EDD is 40 weeks from last period rather than assuming you O on day 14.

This actually confused me too because my last pregnancy my EDD was 6-26 and per o date was 6-27 and I O on day 15.

What I figured out was the calculator assumes you O on day 14 so day 15 starts you lp of 14 days. In my example I O on day 15 so my lp started on day 16.

I'm a OCD nerd and this kinda shit drives me crazy until I figure it out.

Ok so I'm confused now. Lmp was nov 11, but I O'd on cd11 (earlier than usual). So when it says august 18, would it actually be August 13/14?
And I'm the same (having to have cs@ 37 weeks when I do finally get pregnant because of health issues) but you now have me curious lol

That is correct. Most dr's will do a dating ultrasound and adjust your due date.

Just curious why do you have to have a cs at 37 weeks?

I do the same thing but I always figured the change was because I don't O on CD14. Usually doc's will adjust your date based on U/S if it is a week different... not for a day or two because really a day doesn't make much difference.

Since I'm mobile I can't see siggys but just curious have you had any children since your dx of ms? I have a lot of muscle problems and last year my lp came back with elevated proteins but my MRI was normal. Also my emg was abnormal in my legs. I see 3 different neurologist and 2 suspect ms 1 doesn't. The crazy thing is when I get pregnant all my symptoms go away completely but as soon as I mc they come back usually worse so they are almost positive it's an auto immune disease attacking my muscles. Every test they have run for every kind of auto immune disease through a rheumatologist came back normal. I need to go back to my neurologist to get my refill on baclofen and I'm choking a lot again since my mc.

I got diagnosed after I had my son (he's now 10) but in hindsight it started back when I was 17/18. That does sound extremely similar though! Pregnancy puts flare ups in a sort of remission. It takes away all symptoms the lesions give.
