What protocol do you have for highish fsh level & older age??

We will most likely have a WTF appointment, assuming that our BETA tomorrow is negative, within the next two weeks.  The past two days of HPTS have been suggesting that it will be.  I am wondering what other protocols might be good for us besides the Patch & Microdose Lupron ones.  I have an fsh level of 12.8, am 38 and was producing a relatively low number of eggs with microdose lupron, only 6-12 of them per cycle.  On a higher Gonal F dose one egg took off & the rest were super slow.  I also have had a few miscarriages and chemical pregnancies over the past year which makes us think that egg quality is probably an issue now as I am getting older.

What other protocols might we ask about at our WTF meeting??

Re: What protocol do you have for highish fsh level & older age??

  • From what I've recently learned, EPP and antagonist might be a better protocol for you.  Lupron sometimes over suppressed ovaries.  Good luck at your WTF!

  • I'm DOR and my protocol last cycle was two weeks of BCP, then stims with high doses of menopur and bravelle, and we used ganirelex to prevent O. I'm not sure what the official name is, but it's a little different than what I see for a lot of others.

  • I have an FSH that has been all over the place. My AFC and AMH levels were fine though. I am on my way to 36.

my protocol last cycle was two weeks of BCP, then stims with high doses of menopur and bravelle, and we used ganirelex to prevent O. I'm not sure what the official name is, but it's a little different than what I see for a lot of others.
This sounds a lot like mine, though the doses were mid-level and the bravelle was increased towards the end. and cetrotide was used to prevent O. My ER and fert report were beyond what was expected… ET is in a few days.
