Constant Spit-up

I know that it is perfectly normal for LOs to spit up after eating, but recently my lil guy is spitting up more than what I feel is normal.  Almost every single time he eats he spits up, and I don't just mean a little spit up I mean it feels sometimes like he is spitting up most of what he just ate (he is EBF).  Burping always makes him spit up without fail, and if I try to wait to burp and let his food settle for a little bit he will still spit up.  It's gotten worse probably the last 2-3 days as far as how much he is spitting up.  He never seems bothered by it, doesn't make him cry or anything when he does it.  Sometimes he also seems like he is straining to pass gas or poop after eating as well, which of course when that happens it does get him worked up so that he will spit up.  His spit up always seems to be pretty thick, almost mucousy consistency.  I am thinking of calling the pedi tomorrow just b/c I feel like it can't be good for him to spit up so much of his food.  Although he isn't wanting to be fed extra times during the day or acting like he is hungry.  Any thoughts on this?  I am wondering if perhaps he has a bit of reflux or something.  TIA for any input on this!

    I have never read the words "spit up" so many times in my entire life. . . . I think you're really worrying about nothing, really, if it really doesn't bother him. But really, take him to a doc, really.

    Sorry about the sarcasm... Seriously get him to a doctor if you're unsure, just to be safe... Hope your little guy overcomes all the spit up!

    Take one or two more breaks while nursing to burp before finishing that feeding. Reflux would cause projectile vomit and an unhappy baby.

    My baby does this. It's termed "happy spitter". My pedi says its fine since he's gaining weight so well.

    He's definitely been fussy baby today but that's not typical for him. I know it's just FTM worry kicking in! He has his two month appt in another week, so unless it starts to bother him and interfere with his eating I'll probably just remind myself that it's normal!. I'll def try to do some burp breaks while he's nursing to see if that helps.

    My LO had been doing the exact same today!
    He deft spits up when he's trying to poop hahah. Pushes it out of both ends :|

    It could be reflux. If it is mucousy maybe LO is a little congested??

    DS is like this too.  I've found this link to be helpful- we're trying some of the recommendations and they seem to be helping.  I've also temporarily eliminated obvious forms of dairy (no milk or cheese) even though I think I have a forceful let-down and dairy sensitivity is not the issue.  We also got gas drops the other day and have just started using them.

    Also try elimination diet and see if things change. I had a constant spitter, turns out he's allergic to soy (in addition to cows milk, like his sister). Once I elim soy also, he hasn't spit up since.
