Possibly flameful ?

Dd is napping on me so humor my multiple posts, lol.

Possibly flameful: a year + out, how close are you to the post partum weight and/or fitness level you desire? That photo the Norwegian woman posted made me think of this.

I was overweight when I got pregnant 223 pounds, I gained 13 with DS.  So 246 at the end of my pregnancy.

Now I am down to 178, so I lost weight, but being pregnant helped me lose weight, we were carb junkies, having gestational diabetes made me eat better. And I have continued to watch my sugar intake

Edit to add - I am super bored at work today and I welcome new posts :)

  • I'm so far from my post pregnancy weight it is scary! I lost all the baby weight after baby was born and then put on another 40 pounds in the last year, because I wasn't really taking care of myself with everything going on.  Lots of eating out didn't help the cause either.  I am going to make more of an effort in January, I don't want to start now because I know I will fail with all the delicious Christmas goodies.

I am about 5 lbs up. But I gained about 65 so not bad!
I'd like to lose 10 but am realistically OK with where I am now.
OMG I am 20 lbs heavier than when I got married the first time but I was arguably too thin and working out like crazy.

I eat a lot of crap and could stand to do more exercise than just a ton of walking.
I've been too sleep deprived to do anything.

At the end of the day though, I just don't GAF

  • I was down to my before first baby weight and very happy at that weight. I gain about 3-5lbs over the thanksgiving week. I hope to get that off by Christmas.

  • I'm 41 pounds below what I weighed when c was born.... 22 below pre preg. I am.definitely at my lowest adult weight. Unfortunately, its all from stress so its not a.healthy weight or a.good fitness level.

  • Probably at or maybe a bit below pp weight--haven't weight myself since my last gyn appt in Feb. But definitely no where near as fit--my hips are mushier and my boobs are still bigger!

  • Before getting ku again, I was about 15 lbs up from my pre preg weight. I gained 30 with my last. So far with this one I'm up 9. I plan on doing weight watchers ASAP after having her. I felt so uncomfortable and bad about myself last year, I know I need to make a better effort to lose the weight this time.

I'm sorry. Unfortunately divorce was the best diet I ever went on. I probably lost about 30 lbs then too.

Thanks Dix! Sometimes it feels a little better just to hear someone's been in the same boat.

  • I started my pregnancy about 20 lbs heavier than what I want to be at.  Now I weigh the same as before I was pregnant, but feel heavier...the way the weight carries now is different and I am definitely flabbier.

So I would like to lose weight, but this past year with my mom so sick it has been hard to get into a routine. Now that I'm home I'm going to be working on it!

Oh girl, I could not keep food down for like 6 months!

  • I'm a big girl. Always have been, probably always will be..until I have time to focus on myself that is. I was 16 when I had my first, I was naïve and put on a whopping 85lbs. It wasn't the next 2 pregnancies that gained me the weight, I actually stayed the same weight throughout. It was the time in between pregnancies that I gained the weight. My 3 older childrens father was abusive and food was my bestie. Even after leaving him almost 4 years ago I still have issues. 15 years ago I started out at 155lbs..I am now 290. I walk every day, I eat a lot of fruit. Had my thyroid checked, blood work done..blah blah blah..but my doctor says if I generally FEEL ok then I shouldn't worry. Of course I would love to loose even 50lbs but it won't happen overnight and I've come to terms with that. I focus on the positives, especially for my oldest daughter who is 12. I have a boyfriend who cares about me and my beautiful autistic son who cuddles me every night saying he would never want another mommy, EVER :) my kids are my world, no amount of money, opinion or freak of nature chick can tell me anything to change who I am. Kudos to you ladies who are proud of yourselves :)

  • I'm 5 pounds below my pre-preg wt and 5 pounds above my lowest post partum weight. I am pretty happy with the situation.

  • I'm about 13 lbs up from my pre-pregnancy weight. But I lost 8 lbs in the first trimester and then gained 55 lbs. So I still have lost 34-35 lbs of the weight. I was working pretty hard until about a month ago when I ran the half marathon. But honestly I've only worked out once since then. DH has been out to sea for almost 3 weeks and I just don't have the energy for it, physical and emotional. I have a feeling I'm going to gain weight like crazy once he actually deploys...

Meh, whatever. I'm still 61 lbs down from my highest weight the day before I had DS1.

  • 3 pounds below my weight at my six week appointment. However, I nearly cried when I saw how much I weighed then. I put on 15 pounds in the six months before I got pregnant - mainly due to stress eating (multiple major family dramas / losses).

If I can lose this original 15 I will be happy. I am 7 pounds from a "healthy" BMI.

  • Oh lord. LOL  I dropped 65 pounds in 2011.  Put literally every single pound back on during the pregnancy.  Shortly after she was born, I had dropped 40 of it.  (I kept forgetting to eat, and when I did, I couldn't eat very much at all.)  But I evened out right about 30 pounds more than the day I found out I was pregnant.  But frankly, I have no desire to do anything about it.  I know I should care, but I really don't.

  • Do I "win" in the pregnancy weight gain department? I gained more than 70 pounds, lost 62 pounds immediately, but now I put on an additional 25 (damn). I have been on a terrible eating kick lately.

  • I lost all my weight plus more (80 pounds total) i didnt diet just walked everyday with LO and i guess i ate more healthy and ate dinner before 5pm and stopped doing take out

Ok I thought about it and here's why that pic is absurd...
it's not what her body looks like.
It's just a totally unrealistic view of the immediate postpartum period.

I don't know about you guys but 4 days after I was wearing hospital mesh undies with depends. I barely showered, let alone had make up and time to do a selfie.

obvi she is rich, has a baby nurse, a stylist team, etc.
The idea she did this alone is totally illusory.

I agree and I think that is what the uproar is about. I still looked 6 mos pregnant or hell probably 8.

Yeah that was me too back then. Heck I still don't really bother putting make-up on unless I go somewhere.

Honestly I don't know what my weight is. I'm no model and I'm probably not at my prepregnancy  weight but I'm happy with my body. The only thing I really want to do now is tone up my muscles a little bit.
