Feeling "crampy"...anyone else?

So I'm just going to put this out there and see what you guys think.  I am not concerned to the point of calling my OB, I am more looking to see who has had a similar feeling and your experiences.

I've been feeling "crampy" since late last night.  My LO is still moving around (a little less frequent than normal but still moving around enough to put me at ease).  I have no real pain with the cramps, no irregular discharge and no constipation.  I just feel crampy and also have this urge to crack my back.  Who knows they could be completely unrelated...no idea so I figured I'd include it :).  I have not felt any BH this pregnancy so I have no other symptom to relate it to.  After reading some of your updates and hearing that you were having contractions but didn't know it, I thought maybe that was a possibility.  They don't hurt, they are just there.  I hope this makes sense since I have no other way to explain it!

Thanks in advance.

Re: Feeling "crampy"...anyone else?

  • I've been feeling crampy the last couple of days, along with increased discharge. LO is moving like a champ, so I don't think it bothers him. I have a doctors appt tomorrow, so I'm going to talk to him then about it. Ive been having contractions on and off too, but nothing close enough together to worry about.

  • Same here. I've been feeling crampy and more pressure, and my back has been hurting on and off. No other abnormalities, no BH, although I do have a cold. Anyway, I brought it up last week to my doctor while I was getting an NST, and she basically said it's because I'm 35 weeks pregnant. LO is getting bigger, and getting ready to come out, so things are going to be getting uncomfortable. As long as there's no discharge/bleeding/it's not crippling, it's normal.

    Hope you get some relief!

  • Awesome, thanks for the responses.  I was not worried- worried but it always is nice to be reminded others are going through the same thing.  :)

  • I've also noticed light cramping. I was driving to work this morning and caught myself wondering if I was experiencing PMS and then remembered that I'm pregnant (wtf?). I'm not concerned about it though because it's not strong and not constant. I'll check in with the doctor on Friday and expect to hear that it's totally normal. Have to admit though - it is good to know that I'm not alone!

  • I completely get what you're saying. I have very mild, light period-like cramping. LO is always really active, and I have no other signs/symptoms that would cause me to be worried, so I just deal with it. I'm guessing it's pretty normal since we're continually expanding and LOs are starting to drop.

  • I have been crampy all day -- feels like I am getting or just got a Pap smear ... Pressure, discomfort, cramps ... Gotta love pregnancy
  • KristaBelieve  I was thinking about posting something like this later... I have been having them since this weekend, off and on, nothing too intense.  I have noticed some pressure as well, but LO is bouncing around like normal, so I am not overly concerned.

  • I was really cramps last week and the week before (33 and 34 weeks)

  • I've been having really light cramping too- similar to what I experienced during my periods pre-pregnancy... Really it's more just general achiness- not actual cramps that come in waves. It's only been the last couple of days, and I attributed it to the baby flipping to head down (he was breech before) and the pressure that is causing!

  • I've been the same way.  Really crampy and more pressure, but my LO is still moving around A LOT so I'm not too worried.  I have my next appt on Friday, so I am going to ask, but I'm sure they'll just say it's normal.

It is really nice to know, though, that I'm not the only one!!  So glad we have such a great support group of ladies here!!

  • I totally understand! I think just baby's way of preparing for labor :) I notice it a lot more at night. Try a heating pad for your back!

  • How funny! It wasn't until I read this that I remembered I was really crampy last night.  Thankfully I read this when I was at my OB and asked her about it. She didn't seem too concerned as that's just part of the pregnancy, but obviously if it becomes regular to call.

  • Sounds like we are all in the same boat!  My LO has been head down for some time now and I only recently had the cramping but like PP said, he is getting bigger. :)  Glad to know we are not alone in this and I agree these cramps seem "normal" for this phase.  Good luck finding relief ladies!
