Am I the only one without a name picked? or even a final 5 list??

Please tell me I am not the only one without a name picked!! We names my son the day after he was born with a name that wasn't on our "list". I feel that I needed to see him first! I feel the same with my second little boy.
I have a list of 10 names or so my husband and I came with called the "we don't love them but don't hate them" list. But nothing feels right.
I am a type A planner and organizer and this so isn't like me lol

anyone else need to see their baby first???

I had a friend that they were trying to come up with a boy name (Team Green). They figured they would have time to come up with one still when her water broke 2 weeks early. They ended up using his dad's name, since he passed away and they were close.

ETA: don't mean to "scare" you about him coming early, but I do think that they had to see him to make up their minds.

We're team green and have a boy name pretty much set but can't come up with a girl name for anything! It's not even that we can't agree - neither DH or I have come up with anything that we love.

With DD#1 we had her name picked out by 4 months....... This one........ Not so much.

We don't have a name or a list because we cant agree on anything. We picked our first 2 LO's names while in labor for the same reason. They were names we had mentioned but were not 100% sure about. I do wish we had a name by now though..

We haven't completely 100% committed yet. DH didn't like my number one choice at first, but now he says that he does and I don't want to name her something that he isn't completely happy with. We haven't really talked about it much lately. I might end up just waiting until she is born, as much as I didn't want to do that.

We are still deciding between two names, and DH doesn't want to commit because "there is plenty of time before the baby comes!"

We can't agree on names for either a boy or a girl. I do want to see the baby first but would feel a little better if we had an idea. Baby will have a name though.

We have a few choices and will make our final choice based on what time of day DD is born. We did this with DD#1 and it worked out great. We assigned one name to a 6 hour time slot, whatever time slot she was born during is what we named her. I can't see DD#1 with any other name, so hopefully it works so well for DD #2 too!

We have a tentative list, but DH isn't fully on board even with the ones we agree one. We were in a much better spot at this point with DS1. However, we didn't pick from our top names until we met him. I do think seeing the baby helps, but it is nice to have a top 3 names or something!

We are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to names. At this point, she can name herself sooner than we will agree.

We are in the same vote. Team green, we have 8 boys names, none that I am super crazy about. We have like 5 girls names. We don't really agree on names. I do want to see the baby first though before picking a name out.

We have a short list for both boy and girl names even though we were told girl. We don't want to settle on any one name because we do want to meet her first. Did the same thing with DS - we had two names we really liked and I had been leaning more towards one (Nicholas) the whole pregnancy and wound up switching in the last few weeks. When he came out he just looked like a Benjamin so we went with that. Right now I am leaning towards Lillian, but Charlotte, and Keira are on our short list too and lately Emily has been floating around my head so who knows.

I'm in the same boat. We have 3 names on our list, but mostly because we don't really like anything else. And the names we have I'm just eh about.

We easily came up with a list of girl names we liked but struggled with boy names. Now that we are Team Blue I'd love for this baby to have a name before he gets here. I wanted to be able to sit with it for a while before really committing. So just recently DH is on board with my two top fave boy names and it figures that a coworker just had her baby and named her son my all-time fave.

I have a boys name but not a girls name (team green). We had two girls names picked, but I have veto'd one name and I'm pretty sure DH will veto the other name. It's very frustrating for me because we had Julia's name picked out on our anniversary trip in May and she was born in October. We are so much lazier with everything this time around!

we've had a name picked out for our baby boy since day 1...Hunter. But lately I'm second guessing it with no back up name what so ever. I guess we'll just have to wait and see

I didn't care for any name on SO's list. He picked a name off my list and thought that was 'the one.' I let him know that even though the name was on my list doesn't mean I love it and that's my final choice for a name. We ended up narrowing it down to 3 names. His choice was 3rd on my list and he doesn't know I'm not even considering a contender anymore. We also have no MN.

I'm right there with you! Still no name! I thought we had one, but it turned out to be a lot more common than we are comfortable with. We have very different tastes in names, so we don't really agree on anything else. I hate not knowing bc I'm totally Type A like you! I need plans, but apparently that's just not how this baby thing works. I'm learning to get over it, though. Hopefully DH and I can agree on one soonish, but it may be a matter of waiting til she's born.

We have a huge list. Like 20+ names we like. We do have some favorites but we have not narrowed it down or even talked about it in a while. We are waiting to see her first.
