Ugh, FIL's

So on Sunday it was a birthday party for my FIL and my nephew. Now FIL is a sh!t disturber and always likes to try to feed his grandchildren things that will annoy the parents ie coffee, alcohol, candy etc. Now on Sunday he wanted to give Hannah a large beef bone, that was sharp in multiple places. I had to put my foot down and I was so pissed, he kept asking. Hannah tends to put things in her mouth and then pull them out really fast, I could just totally see her cutting the inside of her mouth with a bone, all b/c it would be "funny". NOT worth it!! Argh!

Also, ya or nay on giving children a finger dipped in alcohol? My hubby is like "I had bits of alcohol as a child and I am fine" I just don't feel comfortable with it, and I don't know how to tell him that. I don't really have a reason besides it makes me feel uncomfortable.

    I am with you, no booze here, not even for teething... Hubby says it was done to him and he is fine too, but he supports me when family says to do this! even though he may not agree... We try to stay united in public and then talk about it later in private....

    Started TTC in 2006, LOTS of trying, and trying, and 7 rounds of IVF with 13 embryos, 2 perfect little boys and 5 loses....
    All finished with babies, started to make diet changes, Keto, to be MORE for my kids, lost 30 pounds, still going, and 3 months in, I had a natural cycle, and then ovulated... Hubs and I are going to see what happens now... Maybe a natural pregnancy? After everything we have been through? Or just a return to normal hormones? We shall see what the future holds!

    It sounds more than anything like your FIL just likes doing things to get your goat (so to speak). My fil is the same way. I would just stand firm in your beliefs and ignore him being a jerk...or have your dh talk to him.
