NBR ideas for "shark cake" cupcakes?

DD will be 2 tomorrow and when I asked her what kind of cake she wanted she said "Shark cake!" I'm not super good at baking and decorating or anything like that. I was thinking I could get some gummy sharks to put on top of cupcakes for her to take to her little daycare class and maybe do a small cake for a small family party Friday. Is there anything more creative I can do besides dye some cream cheese frosting blue? She's not huge into sweets, but seems to like cream cheese frosting better than others.

How about dying the cupcakes blue and sticking a small grey triangle on top so it looks like a fin sticking out of the water?

Also I loved the life saver idea too. May get a barbie with a big doughnut made to look like a life perserver and surround her with the shark cupcakes?
