Out of curiosity, how long after your lo wakes up are they ready for their first nap of the day? My lo gets up at 7 and is ready for a nap around 8:15-8:30. I feel bad putting him back to bed so soon. Ftm so I worry about everything. Thanks!
That sounds normal to me. My LO needs to go back down around hour and a half to two hours after. Anything longer than that and he has a total meltdown. Its timing of the afternoon nap that I have a harder time with.
Yep normal. First nap of the day is crucial for us. She's usually awake for about an hour, if she's awake any longer than an hour 30, the whole day is screwed.
First nap is usually an hour to an hour and a half max after waking up. If I wait too long, she has a crap nap which sets the day off for disastrous naps. Throughout the rest of the day its closer to two hours between naps.

Same. We go down for the first nap at the hour and a half mark. He doesn't nap for long though- maybe 40mins. I'm working on that part. Hopefully his naps consolidate soon because I feel I just put him down for naps all day.
H wakes up eat between 630-7, nurses for a half hour, then we go back to sleep till 9 or 10 it's glorious
My LO is similar - she wakes between 6 and 7 to eat, then hangs out in her crib and talks to her mobile while I pump for 15-20 minutes in the nursery, then I rock her back to sleep, and she sleeps until 9:30 or 10:30. I workout in our living room and then shower with the baby monitor just in case she wakes up, but she hasn't yet. It's wonderful!
I do, however, have lots of trouble with naps for the rest of the day - she will only sleep in the k'tan or Ergo in the afternoon, and it's a fight to get her to sleep in the first place.
Sometimes I wonder if she sleeps too much. She goes to bed at 9 and wakes up at 9-10 (usually with 1-2 MOTN feedings). She's then up for 1.5-2 hours before going back to sleep for a 1.5-2 hour nap. But like @lucyspeople said, we have more trouble with the timing for our afternoon nap which usually falls between 3 and 4pm.

I wish I had this problem. I've read the total amount of sleep for LOs our age in 24 hours can range from 12- 16 hours. Some babies just nap long during the day and others do not.
Usually she goes 1.5 hours before being put down for her morning nap. Morning nap is usually 1.5 hours long. Then she'll take another nap 1.5 hours after she wakes up from the am one. This one may be her long afternoon nap or it's a 45 min cat nap. If a cat nap, her next nap is 50/50 chance of being another cat nap, or a longer 1.5-2 hour nap....as the weeks go by, the longer pm nap is becoming more frequent. So, our sked:
7-7:30 am - wake up
8:45-9:15 am - down for nap one
10:15 - 10:45 am - wake up
12:00-12:30pm - nap two
The afternoons are the inconsistent part b/c they depend on the length of the morning nap. But, if we cat nap our 2nd nap, the 3rd nap usually starts at 1:30-2pm. I find she can't stay awake as long between naps if she's only had a cat nap.
I anticipate this type of schedule to prevail for the next little while. Some days 4 naps, some days 3.
Ya know, I don't pay attention. We hang out and play and then she falls asleep. I have no idea how long her awake time is. I know that her naps are short if she's not on someone because she slaps herself awake.
I've often wondered about too much sleep also. I read LO at this age should be getting 15-16 hours of sleep (between naps and nighttime sleep). LO eats at 930pm and hopefully asleep by 11pm. Up at about 330am to eat, back to sleep by 5am. Up at 830a to eat. Then he's good for an hour of awake time throughout the day before needing a nap. Some naps (1-2) are a good hour. The others are maybe 30-45 minutes. He can't decide if he want to be in his swing, or held and rocked, or throwing his arms and legs around and waking himself up, pacifier or thumb/whole fist in his mouth.. I just kinda roll with it.
