It's a girl!!! (:
Madison arrived on May 19th at 6:35 am (:
Weight - 14 pounds 5.5 ounces (21%) Height - 24.5" (42%) Rotovirus (oral), DTaP, HIB and the flu. We go back in a month for the 2nd flu shot and Prevnar which we deferred for a month so she didn't have five shots yesterday.
• Weight / Height 15lb. 5oz. 26 1/4 in long(only 5lbs lighter and about 3in. shorter than his brother who is 17mo)
• What Vaccines did they recieve Did not receive any since he was diagnosed with Bronchilitis and ear infection. We go back on the 10th of Dec. for follow up and he will receive them then along with the flu shot.
• Anything special Doc. Said
Not really since she was more concerned with his sickness than with anything else.
*19lbs 8.5 ounces (80th percentile) / 26.4" (33%) which is wrong because he wouldn't completely straighten his legs for the nurse.
*Boosters per CDC, rota, and the flu shot. I asked to break them up, but they talked me out of it because of the unnecessary exposure to germs at the office. And then I realized I have to come back for the 2nd flu shot anyways, so I'm mad.
*Advised to start cereal for the iron, in addition to the foods we've been doing. Said that no food is off limits except honey, as long as it's pureed enough for him to handle.
ETA - LilFlea's response reminded me. She wants us to start a sippy cup (which we have), or even better, a regular cup. She said water was fine in very small amounts. Even though I EBF, she wanted us to switch from the bottles we rarely use to sippy or regular cups.
And, she wasn't concerned about his flat spot. She said she could see it, but she said his head shape in general is really good, and she wouldn't mess with it for the small flat spot on the back.
Weight: 19.5 lbs Length: 27.5 inches My big boy! "> Typical shots plus the flu vac, we go back in a month for the booster on that one
He said he can start stage 2 foods & little water in a sippy cup [i had started that already ) I expressed my concern on LO's flat head but he said he doesn't think he needs a helmet...I think otherwise
Yesterday and he was 6 months and 4 days. He was 19lbs and roughly 28.5 inches. He now is immediately upset at the doctors office and he was frantic. He was somewhere between 28-29 inches but they weren't going to force it. Weight was like 74th percentile and height was in the 90s. Head is still off the chart but not as far off.
Typical shots and flu. One oral and 4 in his legs. We go back in a month for the other half of the flu. He had a small reaction to this series and low grade fever. He has a hard, red lump on his left leg. So thankful we're done until 12 months.
We can up our solids to 3 times a day and we have to start getting in the habit of brushing his teeth. Also start with a sippy cup and do finger foods.
• one day shy of 6 months
• 23lbs 13.5oz/ 29" (99% ile)
• HIB, Flu #1, Pediatrix (?) He gets the rest next month.
• Good to start BLW. Meat, eggs, yogurt, cheese is fine. Try to get middle of the night feedings down to one (ha).
This is the first stats I have seen that beat my LO's - he was 23 lbs 2 oz at 6 months... BIG BOYS!
He is still in the 95th percentile, even his head size. The doctor said everything's good but he may not roll or crawl much because he still hates being on his stomach. I guess he'll walk before he crawls.
If your LO had their appointment this week check em' in!
• How old is LO? 6months 4days
• Weight / Height 16lb 1oz and 25.6inches
• What Vaccines did they recieve Can't remember DH took him • Anything special Doc. Said Or course I don't know cause DH took him lol He is starting to be able to stay sitting up and pull things to him, should be crawling any day
If your LO had their appointment this week check em' in!

• Anything special Doc. Said Nothing really, asked if we started solids (only "dinner" to that point for two weeks) and he said we could start three meals a day
M is 28 inches (99th), 20 lbs 8 ounces (97th) and head was 48th- but they do such a half ass measuring job I am not going to even believe it. She has a giant head ....
Doc said she looks great and size is fine because she is so long/tall and is very mobile and breastfed. He said she doesn't need to eat at night, haha, easier said than done. Otherwise continue with solids and no worries about waiting n in between, that is just an abundance of caution rec.
LO was 6 mo and about 5 days at check up. 17.8 # and 27" long. Got all the shots that generally come for 6 mo. Poor kiddo has an ear infection, so we are treating that....AND, she couldn't feel his soft spot, so we are going in for an ultra sound on Monday so that we can figure out what's going on there. Oye.
