Can we talk about boobs??

So all day my bra felt tight and I couldn't wait to get home! Now, after a few hours bra-less, my lungs are still achy! I seriously feel like my boobs are crushing my lungs! Anyone else?
I guess it's time to once again upgrade my bra...I had just upgraded to a larger bra with underwire (we're talking DDD pre pregnancy) but I think I'm ready to just go to comfy sports bras or nursing bras...

Re: Can we talk about boobs??

  • I had to ditch the underwire I'm also well endowed i get this horrible pain under my right breast if I wear anything but a sleeping bra. I figure what pep my boobs have left will be demolished by breastfeeding anyway.

  • Underwire bras are the *bleep*. It is best to wear wireless bras or sports bras for the time being. I tired to wear an under-wire bra a few days ago and the pain from it digging under my boob was too much.

  • I've been in wireless bras for a couple months now, but still get awful rib pain. I think it's more bump related than boob related though...

  • Yep, tight bras and sore back over here! Don't even get me started on the massive boob acne that struck last week and is only getting worse.

  • I've been wearing sports bras for months. My boobs grew about two cup sizes, even the nursing bras I got in bigger sizes don't fit anymore. I'm over the saggy boobs.

  • Oh boobs... They crush my lungs. I am certain at least 10lbs of my weight gain is on my chesticles. They were already large to begin with, and now they are just out of control. I still wear underwire bras a couple days of the week- but I just ordered a couple more no-wires. Cannot wait to ditch them for an undisclosed amount of time.

@rojovol34 -- go try some on. I love Nordstrom because they are reasonably priced for awesome bras and they come in small and gigantor sizes :) oh! And it might be a good idea to get re-sized (and NOT from vs- they suck at sizing!!)

  • Has anyone found a size-huge wireless bra with a comfortable inner fabric?

To date, I've bought 4 bras that I absolutely cannot stand wearing because they have giant seams straight across the nipple, or the inner fabric is made of something that resembles sandpaper.  Hopefully I can get refunds on some of them.  (What kind of idiot puts that on a nursing bra?)

So, I'm still wearing my first-trimester bras.  They are at least a full size too small, my cups runneth over pretty obviously, even with clothes on, but I have absolutely nothing else to wear.
  • Motherhood maternity is were I got my nursing bras and they always have a buy 3 get one free that is nice. I finally found a bra I like there with underwire bc without I feel saggy and gross unless it's a sports bra. I got one sports bra there and 3 regular. They measured me bc my other bras were hurting even with bra extenders and come to find out I am 3 cup sizes bigger!! Yikes!! My husband was like hell yeah I'm all oh lord help me lol I hate bras so much but feel like I can't not wear one now or they hurt too lol
  • Depending on what I wear to work I may just give up and try wearing a sports bra.  The 2 bras I bought once my boobs uber-inflated in the first tri are now tighter and the wire is driving me bonkers. Between my bump being large and everything stuffed under my ribs I can't stand wearing the underwire now.  I wore a sports bra all day over the weekend out and about on errands and it was phenomenal.

  • Go to Motherhood Maternity!!
  • I am now about an f cup. I wear either a nursing tank or a nursing bra. It's the only thing that is remotely comfy.
  • Soma now carry nursing bras. Going to go try them out tmr
  • I was going to suggest soma as well. I don't like underwire when not pregnant. My ribs stick out so I get rubbed raw. I have a few from Soma that are like heaven. I just wish they were more lined since I'm always cold. My boobs have become obscene. DH commented last night how fun it would be to have them and how my nipples should be bigger to match them. Um ok?

This is the only bra that is comfortable anymore. I ordered another one today. Despite being, wireless I feel like it still provides good support.

  • Thank you, ladies!!! I had told myself I needed to wait until closer to EDD to buy more bras. But after all your comments, I headed over to Target today and got the Stella one. I might try to stop at Motherhood next week.
The girls are definitely happier without an underwire!!! I just don't know how I feel about going without it when I'm at work...
