Did yall buy a toddler bed for LO or did you just decide to invest in a regular bed? Im thinking about buying a regular bed, pushing it against a wall and putting abreathable guardrail on it. I feel like the toddler bed is an unnecessary purchase!
Me too, I'm hoping to go straight to a twin bed. I'll probably start the mattress on the floor, and then put the frame and toddler rail up when I know she's decent about staying in bed more than 50% of the time!
We wanted to use the furniture we already had in our guest room instead of spending money on a toddler bed, so DS is in a full size low platform bed with the mesh rails. I lay a body pillow across the bottom of the bed so he doesn't scootch off the bottom at night (he's a pretty wild sleeper) He's been in it since Labor Day and is doing great. We've never had any problems. He's able to climb in and out very easily even thoguh it's not as small as a toddler bed, so we did have to do sleep training.
With DS, we just got a twin and used foam inserts under the sheet that kept him from rolling off. We intend to do the same for dd but she will use our existing queen.
