It hurts so much!

And before anyone says anything, I am going to call my doctor. This is just a bad week because of the funeral and stuff. But I'd like to see if anyone else is/has experience this and possible ways to help.

Three times in the last week (the last two nights in a row) I've been getting excruciating stomach pains, I thought they were contractions and tried to time them, but thy never actually stopped o it was hard. I'll have the pains for about an hour and then I'll throw up really violently for another half hour. And sometimes there is also (TMI) painful bowel movements. And the stomach pains stay and don't stop for another couple of hours.

Honestly, I thought I had gotten food poisoning again, except no one else has gotten sick and like I said, it's been 3 times this week.
It's just so painful that I stay up crying and gasping for hours until I finally drop off to sleep. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Oh! And the baby has been moving just as much as usual, so no problems there.

  • I'm no help, but I hope you find out everything's okay! That's really scary.

  • Honestly it sounds like a stomach bug, especially since you are having vomiting and painful bowl movements.  See what your doctor says.

  • I have been having these symptoms for a week and my doctor said it us just how baby is laying and moving but started me in physical therapy to try to help with the pains. Keep us updated on how your doing
  • No advice, but it could be a stomach bug or food poisoning, even if no one else is sick.  Remember your immune system is weaker and maybe they just fought it off.  But good luck and I hope the doctor has some answers!

  • Do you have a gallbladder?  Does it hurt after eating?  I dunno, when my gallbladder acted up before it was removed I'd get horrible stomach pains, throw up, and sometimes have a bit of diarrhea.  It fucking sucked.

Hope you feel better real soon.

I was thinking this, too. I had my gallbladder removed a couple of years ago after I had the same types of symptoms, but only after eating [especially after eating fatty foods]. I hope your doctor can help you figure it out!

  • I don't have any experience to offer just wanted to say that I hope the doctor is able to figure it out and that you feel better soon.
  • If not gallbladder, I have similar episodes with kidney stones. But when they started, they first thought it was my gall bladder, then they checked my kidneys, and that is what it was. Definitely call your doctor, and with all the vomiting, you may need fluids. Feel better.
  • Nothing to add, just wanted to say I'm sorry you're in so much pain, and I hope your doctor can figure out what's going on :(

I get this too! I have been getting it once, twice a week for the past 4 weeks now. It hurts so bad. I don't throw up, just a lot of saliva and feel like I have to. Since it's been happening 1-2 times a week, it's definitely not a bug or food poisoning. I asked my midwife about it and she said it's the way the baby is laying or kicking. Probably right on my intestines. It's always more on my left side and I can't find anything that helps. I'm sorry you are feeling it too! Hope you can find some relief!!
