Hemmorrhoids or not?

I am currently 26 weeks along and for the past month or so I have noticed a fleshy, pink lump near my anus. It doesn't hurt constantly but is mildly uncomfortable after bowel movements and seems to be more noticeable after bowel movements. Is this something to be concerned about? Should I have my obgyn look at it at my next appointment? Just a little worried and embarrased.

    Def sounds like hemorrhoids. Try warm rags, using wipes, preparation H, or even Vaseline. Warm baths help too. No straining and stool softner helps. Def mention It to your OB.

    Why would she need to ask this on 1st tri? She is almost in her 3rd tri and I also didn't get this symptom until around 25w. This board is for all stages of pregnancy as it states in the title, pregnant after IF. Questions will often get repeated as new girls come and go, if it bothers you then maybe you should stick to the tri or birth month boards where everyone is at the same stages. OP, you can also ask your OB the next time you see her and ask for a rx ointment. I use one called Zypram that helps but from what I hear they aren't going away and will get worse before it gets better.

    I would definitely ask your OB about it just to be sure. With DD, I had the same type of thing, with no symptoms, and then towards the end of my pregnancy, they started to itch and hurt. I agree with pp that there are things you can use to help with the discomfort if it presents itself, like witch hazel wipes. Make sure you stay regular as best as you can. Good luck!

    Sounds like a hemorrhoid. I first noticed this around the same time as you in my pregnancy - not fun! 

    Check with your OB, but tucks, balneol, and prep h have been helpful for me. Also try colace and drink lots of water because constipation can make it worse. GL!
