  • Mine is 13lbs, I still use a rcv blanket (you don't need an insert, just roll up a blanket to make a seat) underneath cause I'm not ready to spread his legs like that yet.

  • Ahhh good idea on the blanket. I tried it and he loves it! Thanks!

  • I did yesterday and I know she's not 12 pounds. But honestly she cuddle right up and fell asleep. She did just fine and I was able to get dinner started (in the crockpot, so no I wasn't standing there over a splattering stove).
  • @jennlin maybe I'm not too bright today so I'm going to ask you to further explain how you do this. I have the ergo but not the infant insert. Do I just roll a receiving blanket and park it under his rump? Is that it? It can't be that easy!

Yup that's all you do. I just saved you $20 from not getting an infant insert, I'll split it with you and just take $10 ;)

Great! Maybe now you can tutor me on cloth diapers lol. I wanted to do it but when I saw everything I was like aaaaaahhhhhhhh forget it. If you can teach me how to wear this porker I'll mail you a check lmao!

Regarding the cloth diapers, if you YouTube cloth diaper 101, there is a 7 part series that explains everything. It's awesome!

I did not know you could do that! We tried the ergo and he was too small so he hated it. I you tubed this after reading your comment and tried it, worked like a charm! Thanks!

  • I haven't used the insert the last couple times. She fights being super bundled now and falls asleep easier without it. Plus when she's awake she loves to be able to look around an explore which is easier without the insert. Just be mindful of baby's head neck and body if you aren't going to use an insert.
Take the padding out of the bottom of the insert.  Just use the little pillow thing that is in the insert and not the insert itself.
