Because I am optimistic that I will be have the energy to bake cookies with my DD in the next few weeks, I'm gathering a list of what types of cookies we want to make. I know we'll do Snickerdoodles and probably M&M cookies, but I'm trying to do somethign we don't normally make - so what are your favorites (and a link for the recipe would be spectacular!).

Next week, MIL, SIL, soon to be SIL and I all get together and do our annual cookie exchange. We all bring two recipes and spend all day baking. We end up with a TON of cookies. I love it!
You can also make them with the red and white stripped kisses (or Hugs I think) instead of Rolos for a pretty Christmas look. And I look for the pretzels that are shaped like window panes.

I also love the pies. And all the Lindor truffles. And I love making all the cookies. All. The. Cookies. The ones you ball up and coat in sugar, chocolate chip, jam thumbprints, all of it. I've got to get baking...

Last year I bought a bag of those old-fashioned pretzels that are thick (like finger sized), and dipped them in chocolate (half in white, half in dark) a and then rolled them in crushed candy cane. Then you just put them on wax paper to set.
Everyone loved them, and they were so easy!

This is pretty much the one we use.
I also like the butter cookies that people usually color red or green using food coloring with sugar sprinkled on top.
