Seems like I'm seeing jars of coconut oil everywhere. I noticed a jar of it at sam's club (It's as popular as eating kale right now..lol). Is anyone using this stuff as a beauty product in their hair or on their skin. How are the results?
We use it in cooking and as a moisturizer. I use it on my hands in the winter and to massage the baby when her eczema flairs up. In India, it's commonly used for hair - you massage it into the scalp, leave it for half an hour, then wash it out. It's supposed to leave the hair shinny and healthy.
I like it for its versatility. It's nice to have around the house - adds a different flavor to dishes, low allergy risk for those with sensitive skin.
I use it for cooking a lot (it's rated as one of the best oils to cook with). Pretty much anywhere that requires oil or butter (including in things like waffles, etc.).
Re: NWMR: does anyone use pure coconut oil as beauty product
But now I really want to do a hair mask with it!
