  It depends on the daycare.  2 weeks was needed when we changed DC for DS, but I believe the new one requires a month (not that we're planning on leaving them anytime soon).

  We're going through the same as well. I gave mine 2 weeks notice.

  Check your contract.  It should say.  Mine said 2 weeks.  And I actually gave a little less since I told them on a Monday that our last day would be the next Friday.

  2009: missed miscarriage #1 at 9 weeks (trisomy 16)
  2010: Infertility

  2011: Diagnosis and treatment (low sperm count, anastrozole for DH, clomid for me + IUI)

  2012: Baby #1

  2014: Baby #2
  October 2015: missed miscarriage #2 at 11 weeks (trisomy 22)

  Mine required two weeks notice in writing - it was in the handbook.

  Two weeks are the standard. I am a nanny and that is the agreement I had with all families I have worked for.
